AI GeneratedAnshika from SSbeauty demonstrates a \"island girl\" makeup look designed for summer holidays. The tutorial focuses on achieving a glowy, sun-kissed aesthetic that remains durable against heat, humidity, and sweat. By prioritizing lightweight products and multi-use items, she creates a fresh, effortless appearance suitable for the beach or pool.
Hey guys, welcome back to SSbeauty's YouTube channel.
I am Anshika and because summer is around the corner,
everyone's planning their summer holidays,
I decided to get straight into some island girl makeup.
This is that super glowy, sun-kissed,
just got back from the beach kind of look.
It's very fresh, very effortless,
also built to survive this heat, humidity, sweat, all of it.
Because if you're chilling by the pool
and your makeup is melting by 11am, what's the point?
So I'm going to show you how I do this step by step,
Skincare honestly makes or breaks the look.
So I'm going in with my Laneige moisturizer.
It's super hydrating but still very lightweight.
You want your skin to look healthy, not greasy.
Then sunscreen, I'm using the Clinique sunscreen.
This is also slightly tinted,
so if you want to look put together going to the beach or the pool,
you can just use this.
This is a non-negotiable, you cannot do island girl and skip SPF.
Now for primer, I'm using the Benefit Porefessional.
This has been a staple for me for many years now.
This is basically key for when you're in humidity,
it holds your makeup down
just so it doesn't come off your face in 20 minutes.
I'm going to quickly clip my hair so it's easier to do this.
Oops, got so much better because it is really hot.
And just so that extra glow,
I'm adding this MAC strobe cream on my high points.
Not everywhere, just where the sun would naturally hit.
I do love to overdo it, I won't lie.
For base, I like to keep it really, really light.
I'm using the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer
under my eyes, around my mouth and anywhere else I think I need it.
We are not doing heavy foundation here
because I like my skin to look like skin.
You know, I feel like tapping it in with your fingers
gives you the most natural finish.
So I almost always give up on the brush.
Now for the blush, I'm starting with the Benefit tint.
Everyone knows this is not moving
so it's definitely an essential for hot days by the pool.
This is definitely my favourite part of the whole routine.
Also taking a bit over my lips.
Don't be shy here.
Island curl makeup is all about that sun-kissed flush.
Also taking it across my nose like I've been in the sun all day.
A little on your chin won't hurt either.
Then I'm going in with this NARS blush stick in the shade Hot Take.
Slightly more peachy and I love that.
You have to go a little heavy with the blush and the bronzer with this look.
That's what gives it the whole holiday feel.
Now I forgot to carry my bronzer so I am going to improvise a little.
I am going to use this lipstick from MAC in the shade Top as a bronzer.
It literally doubles up as a cream bronzer.
You have to note that multi-use products are literally your best friends
especially for makeup like this.
Brows super natural.
I'm just filling it lightly with this brow pencil from Benefit.
I like to quickly brush the filling a little bit to make it even more natural.
And then setting everything with the Benefit brow gel.
You want fluffy brushed up brows, not too precise.
Not heavy eyeshadow so I'm just going to go in with the top lipstick even on my eyelids.
Just look at that.
Wonders just one lipstick can do.
I'm adding this soft brown kohl in the shade Teddy from MAC just to define my eyes a bit.
So what I generally do is I add a little and then I'm going to take my finger
and just smudge it a bit to give it that brown-ish feel.
I don't know, do y'all see that?
And then this waterproof mascara from Maybelline.
Okay this might be tricky to do on camera because I generally have a tough time applying mascara
but waterproof is a must whether it's the humidity, sweat or even a swim.
Your mascara needs to stay put.
I think I'm doing a better job than I usually do
because I'm trying really hard for my eyes not to flutter.
I've got really fluttery eyes.
I don't know if you guys can see that.
But this looks good.
Now my favorite part, the freckles.
I'm blessed with natural freckles or well it's technically sun damage
but you can fake them using a brow lip liner or an eye kohl
like the one I used from MAC in the shade Teddy.
You can just literally spread it across your nose and your cheeks randomly and you're good to go.
Keep it random, not perfect.
That's what makes it look real.
For lips, I'm going to use my all-time favorite lip liner from MAC.
It's in the shade Soar.
It is my recent favorite shade.
I mean I've grown up using Spice for all my life and I think most of us have
but if you guys like Spice, you guys must try Soar.
And topping it up with MAC's lip gloss for that fuller glossy finish.
This gives you that juicy plumpy lip without looking overdone.
Now to lock everything in, I'm using the Clarins loose powder
but only where I need it most.
Sides of the nose, chin, center of the forehead
but just be careful because if you mattify everything you lose the glow.
And finally going in with the Prep and Prime setting spray by MAC just to seal everything.
You can obviously see how much I love this.
I need a refill.
If I'm packing for a beach holiday, I like to keep it super simple.
Just the essentials, a skin tint or a tinted sunscreen,
concealer, a cream, bronzer or blush.
I like to keep the NARS multiple stick in my beach pack at all times.
Brow gel, waterproof mascara, lip balm or lip gloss,
mini powder and the setting spray.
And I'm going to repeat myself, always choose products that double up
like lip and cheek tints or even a lipstick as a bronzer.
And that's the final look.
Super glowy, fresh and heat proof.
