You're gonna hop in straight into 10 ball master drills that you've never done before. All you
need is two cones and a tennis ball. You're gonna hack the system in 10x your progress with
contrast training. Specifically contrasting, scanning, or multitasking with ball control
and ball mastery exercises. Most players do the same drills with a low return on investment and
the reality is if you train like everyone else you'll simply be average. Instead today we'll
rewire the brain to develop a sixth sense on the ball. Before we get into it you got 40 seconds on
and 20 seconds off for every drill. All right we're starting off with everyone's favorite move
the elastico but we're flowing back and forth between touches so the ball stays glued to your
foot. Now if you don't want a lousy touch focus on rotating through your hip and finely tuning
your ankle as you sway side to side. This is drill number one so it's important to focus and allow
yourself to enter into a flow state. Now what I don't want you to do is reach for the ball.
Instead smoothly wrap your foot around the ball and keep it under your center of mass.
Transitioning to the second drill and I know you're wondering why we have a tennis ball.
Well if you want to learn to master the ball with your eyes up you've got to train it. Specifically
dual motor functions which is fancy for multitasking and how it fires your neural
signals in relation to skill work. What if you could spend more time with your eyes up scanning
and still stay composed on the ball? Well this is how so stay focused because we're about to
increase the difficulty. Drill numero tres. Increasing the difficulty of your scanning.
In a match you're always processing information whether it's commands from your coach and
teammates identifying open spaces or seeing pressure and movement from the defense.
Prioritize taking care of the ball. Always know where it's at. Feel the connection to your foot.
Don't rely on visually staring at the ball but develop the connection. Find your rhythm here
and get ready to challenge your touch because we've got drill number four. Now juggling is where
many footballers develop their touch and connection but some of you are more connected to your phones
than the ball. That's got to change. The only way is spending time on the ball and challenging your
ball mastery drills. We've got some baby steps here for you. Juggle and scan the markers. Simple
but effective. As we transition to drill number five can you stay relaxed while having perfect
way of touch to keep the ball right where you want it? I promise you this is going to make your brain
glitch but once you get the hang of it you'll enter a flow state and level of focus you haven't
experienced. Stay relaxed and don't tense up here. Now we've got drill number six. The ball is going
to become an extension of your foot. Find a rhythm between the ball and the plyometric. We're working
on explosive movements here so that you can explode by the defenders and win every single 1v1.
Now this is proprioceptive. You need to understand where the cones are in relation to the ball
as you're exploding side to side. Weight of touch is key. You want to push straight across to the
other cone. This helps tremendously when you're really just trying to focus on taking care of the
ball which we have on drill number seven. Simple inside outside pattern but we're scanning to the
markers. Remember baby steps. As you do this focus on taking care of the ball. I can't stress that
enough because as you guessed it we're increasing the difficulty with the tennis ball. Now here I'm
scanning in between the half space between both balls not staring at one or the other. I like to
mix up the variation of my hands to challenge my brain and really focus on moving the ball at my
feet. The football is the priority. When you feel like it's overstimulating and too much sensory
input simply slow down. Now there's numerous ways to increase difficulty of your scanning and
dribbling with your eyes up. Here we're just moving side to side, cone to cone, two touches on one foot
scanning as we do it continuously. As I move to one side I'm scanning the cones constantly
bouncing my eyes back and forth. I'm never really looking at the ball. You got one touch to
decelerate and one touch to accelerate. Get in get out be explosive and identify the open space just
like you would in a game. Now this one's a leg burner. Why is that? It's because we're focusing
on cutting change of pace change of direction dropping your hips on each side and explode out
which brings you to the final exercise. Scanning Cruyffs. Scanning marker to marker and hitting a
Cruyff. Pretty simple and there's nothing special about the Cruyff but what I want you to focus on
is scanning your shoulder which is why I'm standing in front of the cones. Stay locked in,
stay blessed. Now if you're looking for real training that works not some random PDF generated
