The film follows Prue McKeel, a young girl who ventures into a secret, magical forest near Portland after her baby brother is taken by crows. Joined by her classmate Curtis, Prue discovers an enchanted world filled with strange creatures, dangerous enemies, and a hidden realm where the fate of more than one family is at stake.
