Dina Meshref vs Tatiana Kukulkova | WT - R32 | #ITTFWorlds2026

Apart from the elephant in the room that is the lefty versus right. Talk to me a little bit more specifically about the styles Maria. Especially on that backhand side and you see the pendulum serve there of Meshref. Slightly more effective now. To the Egyptian, legend. Even recovers that one Meshref. You barely ever see it back there. Rally from both of these players. Oh good serve. Not on that forehand was it? But not against Meshref. Too much spin coming in. She uses a lot of wrist in Meshref and she has done to take that opening game. 11-5 she will be happy with that but she knows it is hiding the ball with their body. You have every right to call it. Too ahead here. Good feeling. She even puts a chop in there Kokova and another push. These players. It'll be tough after a match like this not to celebrate. It's a lot in the legs and a lot in the angle at the back and she manages. So much spin on that ball. Transferring that energy to her teammate. And she takes it. 11 points to 9. Dina Meshref with some heroic table tennis. The composure and the closure. She's really frustrated with that forehand of hers. You know sometimes you can transfer, lose and then you can start producing some really great bits. Captainess of this team. She's been able to perspectivise. Again with that forehand. Rolling through these points. Beautiful. Both players there finding the angles but Meshref just being pushed. Excellent response there. Slamming those balls back. Can Meshref blow the house down? Backhand serve. Egypton through to the round of 16. And it's their captainess Dina Meshref along with Haina Khoda, their princess who manufactured two wins of her own to help this team get through. What a victory. And you can see the smile on Meshref's face. How much that meant to her and how much that meant to Team Egypt. She ran straight over to them. Hugs. Jubilation. They are through to the round of 16 where they will face Romania.
