Good morning everybody. Welcome to my home. My name is Becky and I am so excited that you're
here today. If this is your first time visiting my channel, welcome to my little vintage home.
Like I said, my name is Becky and I love to decorate my what would be considered modern home
with all kinds of vintage and antique pieces. I started, I guess a few years ago, I found
myself to be an empty nester, my husband and I. My husband's name is David by the way.
We have two girls. Summer, she's 28 and Lily is 27 and when they both left us, we just didn't
know what to do with ourselves so we started antiquing or we started going to antique stores.
I quickly found my style when I was going into these stores. I'm not so much into the
antique side of that. I like the vintage side which is more 50s, 60s but my favorite is the
70s and you're going to see that when you walk through my house. I'd like today to do a home
tour for you. I usually like to do these every once in a while. I've noticed that the algorithm
on YouTube has kind of dropped me a little bit. Sometimes that happens. Usually what I'll do is
just post a home tour and it just kind of picks things up for me as far as my views and my
subscribers. People start to find me again when the algorithm starts saying, hey that's what
she's supposed to be doing. Anytime I do something different on here, the algorithm just kind of like
that's not what you're here for. You need to get back to your original plan. So that's what
we're doing. We're going to do a home tour of my vintage home. So just a little bit of a backstory
on me. Like I said, I am an empty nester. I am 46. I will be 46 years old I think this year. Maybe 47.
I'm not sure. One of those after mid-40 ages and David and I, we started empty nesting. By the way,
since then we had one child to come back home and I'm so glad she's here. We'll talk about that later.
But when we started going into the antique stores, I started finding myself and finding the things
that I love. The colors that made me smile. The patterns that just brighten my whole face when I
would find it. And I started collecting and my collection started to grow and I started to get
more and more. And then when I brought them home, I'm like, David, where am I going to put this?
He says, I got you, honey. So he goes out into his garage and he builds me pretty much anything
that I could possibly dream up. He can build for me. So when we're doing our tour, you're going to
see a lot of wooden pieces that David has built and put in the house. So we have customized this
house for us. It may not be everybody's cup of tea, but we absolutely love it. We just enjoy
sitting here at night and looking at all of the pieces that we have brought together to make our
home so special to us. We want to share that with you. So that's what we're going to do. I'm going
to show you a tour. I'm not going to go outside today. I'm just going to do the inside. I also
have a couple of rooms that we're not going to share quite yet. I might do my craft room, but I
need to do some cleaning in there first. But let's get started. I want to show you my little vintage
home. All right. Before we get started, I do want to tell you this. Yes, I did clean up. Yes,
I did sweep the floors. I straightened up for you to make a nice presentation. But if you get too
close, you're going to see dust. So don't judge me too harshly. Also, the two rooms that I told
you I wasn't going to share, it's real life. They're dirty. They're messy. I am planning a
wedding for my youngest daughter, Lily, and that craft room is an atrocity. I'm telling you,
it's terrible. Let that be proof to you that not everything you see on YouTube is real. Anytime you
see anybody showing you their home on YouTube, rest assured there's a mess tucked into a corner
somewhere. So don't ever compare yourself to something you see on YouTube or anywhere on
social media. They are hiding their mess and I am hiding a lot of my mess. So just so you know.
All right, I'm going to turn this camera around and show you my home. So I named this channel
My Little Vintage Home because it is quite literally a little home. It is the smallest
little house. We have plenty of room for us, but we do not have a big house. Everything you see here
is everything we got. It's all kind of an open concept type of home. So it's not going to
take long to do this house tour. But let me tell you, I've crammed a lot of goodness in this house.
If I've got an open space, I've got a piece of vintage goodness to show you. So let's start
with the living room. Now the living room is, I don't know, it's got kind of high ceilings here.
I know you're going to see dust on the ceiling fan. We did have to change things around not
too long ago to make room for some new furniture pieces. Our couch and loveseat and chair is modern.
You know, I get that, but we are also modern people. We have to have the luxuries of a
comfortable couch. Would I rather have a nice vintage, I mean, let me tell you guys, I almost
bought a vintage couch on Facebook Marketplace the other day. They had a three-piece set for a
hundred dollars. It was everything I could do not to go buy it. But at the same time, I mean, we
still have to be comfortable. And I could not warrant getting rid of my somewhat new living
room set to exchange it for a vintage one, no matter how amazing and glorious it was. Behind
my couch, this is what I call, I used to call this my mantle because I didn't have an actual fireplace,
but I used to have my TV over here and I would have this little mantle decorated for all the
seasons and it would be over my TV. It was the focal point of the living room. Well, since then,
things have changed a little bit, but for now, this is where I keep my swan glass vase collection
and I also have two genie bottles and I also have two, these pictures, these paintings are original
and I just found them throughout my travels and throughout my shopping trips. I love them.
They're all signed and I just like the way they look layered up on that shelf. So sadly, my little
mantle that got so much love in the beginning of this channel is no longer the focal point.
We have something else to show you that's the focal point now. We'll get there in just a second.
Most of the pictures on the wall that you see were taken by me. Not all of them, but most of
them were. This little live wooden side table David built for me. It matches my coffee table.
I have an amazing vintage lamp here and then, you know, we've still got modern things over here that
we unfortunately have to add into our little house. Here we have just a plain old mirror,
nothing fancy going on over here, but I just like the dark brown colors with everything that I have
going on in the house. And I have it on this shelf that was actually gifted to me years and
years ago. This is not a piece David made, but this is where my amber glass collection started.
I used to put every piece that I owned in this shelf and it quickly got to be too much. We had
to move it to other places in the house, but this is a lot of my amber glass here that I collected
through all of my traveling. Some pieces were gifts. This piece right here was a gift, but most
of this is just what I picked up throughout the years. And there's something about the amber glass
that just makes my whole soul shine. And then we're going to come over here. This is the new focal
point. David did build this fireplace for me. It was absolutely my dream to have a real fireplace,
a real mantle in my home, and we just never had one. And then one day we were sitting here and
David's like, I think I need a shelf here. I need to put something in this corner. I said, oh,
if you're going to put something in that corner, why not put a fireplace? And he's like, all right,
I'm on it. And he built this for me and it just brings me so much joy. I guess I should turn the
on, shouldn't I? Hold on a second. Let's turn the fireplace on. There you go. Now you can see it.
Isn't that beautiful? I've only decorated it for Christmas. I haven't had it that long,
but we'll take a quick look here. This little vase here was a gift from a friend.
And then everything else is just pieces that I've had and just added. There's another signed
picture or painting that I found in my travels. And you'll find a lot of plates in this tour
because I am obsessed with vintage stoneware and I have a few pieces of ironstone. This is an
ironstone piece here, but I love dishes. I love plates. I have lots and lots to share with you.
So many so that I have a room full of extras that I'm not using. And then we're going to look at my
curtains. Now these curtains I made from some fabric that I purchased on eBay. They do not
go all the way to the floor. I know that bothers some people. It doesn't really bother me so much.
I used to have my couch in front of them, so we definitely didn't need them to go to the floor.
But honestly, it doesn't bother me, so I just leave them the way they are. This shelf was
another piece that David built. I had originally found an actual mid-century shelf at the thrift
store that we gave to my daughter Lily, and I fell in love with that shelf so much that David
replicated it for me. He made a few adjustments so that my records could sit up straight when he
built it custom, and I love this shelf. And this little record player is modern. We can actually
link it to our phone. We don't actually have to play records on it, but you can play music through
your iTunes or whatever you have on your phone. And then I just have a few. You'll see a lot of
owls in my home. Here's another plate, and there's my cute little mama right there, my little vintage
mama. Can you see her? Look at her little belly. And this is just the way I keep it year-round.
I do look forward to decorating this shelf for all of the seasons. This is another piece that's
fairly new, and I haven't had a chance to really decorate it up for all the seasons. I decorated it
for, let's see, Halloween, and then I had to take it down for Christmas because I had to put my
Christmas tree there, so I didn't get to do that for Christmas. I have this amazing pillow here, a
little crochet piece. Surely it's handmade. If you are a current subscriber to my channel, then you
have not seen this table yet. If you'll remember, he had another table over here, which was, it's
actually sitting right there. It was like a live wood piece that matched the coffee table and the
side table, and he just was having a week where he needed a project. He needed something to do.
The weather was bad. He was kind of stuck in the house, so he went out to his little shop, and he
built this shelf, and it is absolutely beautiful. I'll show you a side view of it as well. I do have
shoes in that little basket down there. I need to get another basket or two baskets that match
so that I can kind of slide my shoes in and out. We just haven't gotten that far yet. I just
set my same little decorations back up here, which is a couple of plants and a doily, and that's where
David puts his keys. This table also has a drawer that we have for storage, extra storage, and he's
got like a little, this little shelf here slides back and forth. I haven't even put anything in
here yet. That's how new it is, and then when you kind of close it up, it closes on its own,
so I wanted to add that in there as well, and then he also has these shelves here, these floating
shelves, and that's where I put a lot of the pictures of the girls up, and then I want to come
back around to the living room because I forgot to show you the coffee table. This is, again,
like a live wood type of situation, and he just, it's just beautiful. It's absolutely beautiful. He
built this based on the wood. The piece of wood slab was his inspiration, and he made that himself,
and then I just have this amazing groovy little tray here, just some flowers and a doily, and
I'm kind of embarrassed because I don't have any heart candy in my candy dish because I always say
any proper vintage housewife has a bowl of heart candy to offer her guests, and I do not have any,
so my face is red. All right, let's come over here. Now, this is my, what is this called? This
love to put a lot of my depression glass and a lot of my amber glass dishes in here. I also have
these dishes here. These dishes are kind of like my fine china. They remind me of my mom. My mom
had this set growing up, and they just bring back nostalgic memories for me, and that's why I chose
to decorate with this. I put this backing on here to kind of lighten things up a little bit because
it was so dark, and I also have lights in here. I don't know if you can see or not. I don't have
them turned on. Hold on a second. I'll turn the lights on for you so you can see. So, when you
light this up, it just kind of makes all of that amber and depression glass just kind of glow.
I don't keep it on all the time, though, but it is beautiful, and each shelf has its own little light.
I like to decorate this shelf for the different holidays as well, change them out. Like I said, I
have so many dishes that I could change this out weekly, honestly. I have so many different dish
sets. One day, I want to do a video showing you all of my different set place settings, and then
this is just a few photographs that I have, another owl, just a little vignette that I put together,
and then David made that that dough bowl as well, and I decorate it for the holidays,
and then these are a few more of my dishes that I collect. These are my sunflower ones,
and I just curated this little collection throughout the years. It started with three
plates, and it's grown to five, and honestly, I could put more, but I think that's, I think that's
nice. I think I capped out on that one. While we're here, we'll talk about this little corner. Let me
turn a light on real quick. This is a china cabinet that I've had my whole marriage, which is
kissing 30 years. I don't know how many, how many, I'm not good with ages, and
we were married in 1996, so you do the math. It is currently 2025, but anyway, these are,
this is the collection of my sunflower plates that I've collected throughout the years, and I just
put them all in here, and I love the way that it looks. By the way, in one of my previous videos,
I told you about how one of my depression glass pieces got broken, and would you know that Judy
sent me a replacement for that? That was one that I said, if you're moving your depression
glass in and out of the weather, it's not tempered, so you have to be careful, and I did exactly that.
I took it from a cold weather temperature setting to a warm temperature setting, and it broke,
and Judy was nice enough to send me a replacement, so my collection is complete now, so thank you so
much, Judy, for sending me that, and then I just have this little vignette that I put together.
I love this Krull piece. I have more Krull in my bedroom that I'm going to show you in a little
while, but this piece is just so beautiful, and I love having it out in the living room,
because this is where I spend a majority of my time, so I like being able to see it,
so that's just, this is not the ideal place for this. That's just the only room that I have,
the only place I have to put it, so yes, I do have to squeeze in here to go to my craft room,
but it is what it is, so we just have to live with it. This is my dining room. Now, normally,
this table is not sitting here. Like I said, that was replaced recently over by the door,
but we've got it sitting there for now. I have this beautiful art piece that David picked out
for me. It is a signed original sofa art piece that I imagine would go above your couch if you
had a wall behind it, and I just don't have a wall for it, but I mean, you know, behind the couch,
but I think this is a perfect place for it. It's been up there quite a while, and I love it,
and then I call this my Amazon shelf because it, I mean, it came from Amazon, and I say that,
I guess, because most all of my pieces in my home are handmade by David. I just want to distinguish
that this piece is store-bought, so if any of you are interested in it, they do have it on Amazon,
but I just have it full of beautiful pieces that I've collected. Here's a little close-up. There's
another little owl. David made that beautiful bowl with all of those little lines in it,
and I just have a lot more of my vintage amber glass in here. I have a few photographs of the kids,
and I like to mix up my amber glass when I'm doing a vignette with doilies, wooden pieces,
little risers, books, greenery, anything, dishes, anything to break up that glass, to change it up,
to change the texture. That's why I think I love it so much is because it's not all just glass.
It's just a mixture of different textures and things, so that is my Amazon shelf, and then
we're going to come over here to my dining room table. Now, David didn't build the chairs, but he
did build the table. This table was the first thing that he ever built for me, and he has since then
asked me if he could change it out, redo it, re-sand it, make it perfect, and I told him,
no, I don't want it to be perfect. This was the first piece he made. I love it. I work on this
table. I craft on this table. This table is a workhorse. If I had one that I was scared to
scratch up and get dirty, it wouldn't be very much fun, would it? So, I do love this table.
It's got like a chevron pattern. It comes down here and then goes back up there, and we have
made some beautiful tablescapes on this table. If you are new to the channel, go back and look at
some of them because we've done some pretty cool things out on here, and then my tear tray.
I love my tear tray. David, of course, made it. You're going to hear me say that a lot, but it is my
pride and joy. I love to decorate it for the seasons. I love to decorate it just throughout the year.
It's not completely decorated on the back just because I kind of ran out of time to to film
to film this. Right now, if we're being honest, and I do like to be honest with you, my table doesn't
look like this all the time right now because I'm working on the wedding for Lily, so my table's
been cleared off. I did set the table for this video. I need a little something right there.
I think I forgot to do that, but once the wedding is over, I do like to have my table set.
We have this little, what is this called, blanket ladder that I keep out all year long. I change
it out for the seasons, but on any given day that you walk in here, you're going to see this glorious
piece right here. This was a gift that I received from one of you guys, and it is probably one of my
favorite things in the whole entire universe that I own. I love this afghan. It's just, it just brings
me so much joy. There's my girls. I know the light is shining on that, but that's them, and then
behind this door, above this door, not behind this door, above this door, I have some more dishes,
and these are just two of the same pattern, just alternated, and I hung them across the top. I
thought that something needed to be up there, and I like it. I think it's cute. They are not, they are
not hung perfectly straight for, you know, I get that, but they're okay for me. All right, now David
made that, too, but that's something he, he made for himself. I don't even know what that thing is.
It tells about the pressure. Um, kitchen. This is my kitchen. So, when we bought this house, it had,
everything was like builder grade. It was exactly the way every other house on the block looked.
The white cabinets with no handles. I had to add candle, excuse me, I had to add handles to my
cabinets. It had like a hunter green formica type countertop. We had to change that out.
We do want to change out the flooring because this flooring is quite old, but that's coming up
after the wedding. Hopefully, we're going to do a lot of things after the wedding, but
changing these countertops out made a huge difference. I will say this, they, I can't
remember how long I've had them, but they do need upkeep. You can't just do the, you know, have wooden
butcher block countertops and leave them as is. Like you can see, there's, there's some scuffing
going on here. Also, whenever water gets on here, it starts to turn white. So, David is going to have
to come in here, do some sanding, do some restaining, not staining, polyurethane, do all the things to
to give these countertops some upkeep. So, while they are very beautiful, they do require some
upkeep throughout the years. This little shelf here, I got from Hobby Lobby, and I just decorated
it for the different holidays. Right now, I just love this beautiful dish, and I just have some of
my amber glass up here. You'll also notice my wallpaper. This was probably one of the hardest
things I ever did in this house was hanging wallpaper. I have wallpaper in here and in two
of my bathrooms, and I'm going to share all that with you, but it was a lot of work, a lot of work,
especially in the corners here where I couldn't reach very well. So, I like to use all of my
vintage amber as much as I can. These are for flour, sugar, and rice. I just, I like to display them, but I
also need functionality because my kitchen is so small. So, these work out great. I have never had
any issue with them going bad or, you know, getting stale or anything like that, and then I have this
pretty little curl piece here. I usually have my little owl lit up, but my light went out, so I need
to replace my light bulb in there. So, you just have a beautiful dish back here and a candle.
Of course, David needs that to function in life, and then over here, I just have, this changes up a
lot. This is always getting changed and moved about, but right now, this is what we have.
I would not say that I like the way this looks here, but I only have two drawers in this kitchen,
so we have to use this for all of my big utensils. So, we need functionality as well as pretty around
here, and this is how things are looking. David built that bread box. This is, I moved this, but I
told you I was going to be honest about everything. This is my compost bucket. It's not pretty. That's
where I put all my compost, so I'll put it back up there just so you know this is real life, but
I did move it for a pretty picture so you can kind of see. There you go. All right, and then above my
cabinets, oh wait, let me show you my refrigerator. So, I started this little magnet collection a few
weeks ago. I was inspired by another content creator named Scarlet Sea, and she has these
that, these different little collections that she puts together on her refrigerator for the
different holidays. I'm just trying to get one put together normally, so I've been collecting
all kinds of things to make magnets for my refrigerator. We made this together in a video.
We made most of these together, actually, but this is my, the beginning of my magnet collection. I need
to rearrange it so it looks a little more square, but it's fine for now, and then above my cabinets
is where I keep all of my Pyrex collection, and I also have a beautiful collection of owl canisters,
so I just kind of put them together, and they just, they just look amazing up there. I love them.
I don't go too crazy above my countertops just because my kitchen is so small. It does get a
little overwhelming, so a little closer view for you. I only, I have one, two, three different patterns of
Pyrex that I collect, so I don't, I don't go too crazy with that. Actually, four. Sorry, four. All right,
let's go to another spot. My arm is getting sore. All right, let's go into my bedroom. We're going
to walk around here. The garage is out here, and my bedroom is over here. I'll turn the light on
so you can see. This is the other set of curtains that I made. Same bulk of fabric that I bought off
of eBay. I was able, thank the Lord, to make two sets of curtains with it, and I love it. So, most of this
is modern. I also ordered the fabric on eBay to make these pillows, but like my bedspread and all
of this is modern. My husband's father made the bed and the dresser and the side tables, so they're
pretty substantial, and they take up a brunt of this room, but if I could do things over, I would
have made them a little darker, but at the time, back in the 90s, well, early 2000s, I guess, yeah, early
2000s when we moved into this house, everything was this color, so that's the, that's the color
that I chose. And then, yes, I brought dishes into my bedroom, and I'm not ashamed of it, because I had
so many beautiful pieces. In my opinion, each piece is a piece of art, and I wanted to display them,
so I just have them hanging above my bed, and then I have a few over here. That's another original
piece of painting there, and then I have some over here that I've recently started, and then I want to
put three more up there. Oh, and right here, too. Hold on. I want to put a few more, like maybe two more
right here, but I haven't quite collected those yet. We're going to look for those together and
add those as we go on the channel, so make sure you have subscribed to my channel so you can be a
part of that. So, back over here, these are just a few more photographs, just a little photograph wall
that I put together, and just a little vignette. This is where I hang all of my costume jewelry.
This little jewelry box I've had since I was probably a preteen, so it's, it's, it's seen a lot
of years, and this room in here is nothing fancy or decorated very pretty, but this is David's room.
He built all of these shelves custom to his needs, so he has this floating desk, and this is where we
keep our printer and everything, and all of his Bible reference books are in here that he reads
and studies, and all of the things that he needs, and then over here is just his man stuff, you know,
ammunition, pow pows, all the things that men like. My favorite thing in here is this shoe rack.
He measured his shoes exactly so that he would be able to fit two pair to each, to each rack.
See, he squeezed one little pair right there, and it's just not working. You, you should have made it wider.
Look at those little slippers, and then he's got his heavy winter clothes in here too, so he's got this
designed just for him. It is not fancy or all that pretty to look at, but it is functional for him,
and this is his little study, so I thought I'd share that with you. This is another piece that his dad
made for us custom for this room. We have our television up here that never gets turned on,
and then we have this little bookshelf that is also store-bought, cheap, nothing fancy about it,
but it holds all of my little scrapbooks. I made these scrapbooks with just regular photo albums,
and I covered them in fabric to match my house, and then I just have some photographs and just some
decorations, I guess, and then up here, I have this little piece. I found it at a yard sale,
and I added some amberglass to it to make it a little bit more specific to me, and then this
is my closet. There's nothing fancy in there, nothing pretty to see, just clothes. It's not
completely organized, but it's not the worst you'll ever see. Now the acoustics are getting
ready to change. We're coming into my master bathroom, and this is one of the walls that I
put wallpaper on. I love it. I absolutely love it. I only do this one wall behind my bathtub,
and then I have this painting that I've collected, and then just a few tchotchkes
and pretty things to make it pretty, so I love this. We're going to be redoing this bathroom
in the near future, hopefully, like I said, after the wedding. This is just a little vignette that
I have left over from when I did, like, farmhouse. I just never took it down. I really liked it,
and I wanted to keep it, and then over here, we have ... let's turn on some more lights.
We have another wall of plates that I put together, and I love this wall. It makes me so
happy. I love the colors, and everything's just a little different than the other plate walls.
Each plate wall has their own little theme, I think, and I don't know what the theme is here
other than the colors separate it, and David made these shelves for me, and then he made this
little shelf here. I would like to get some more baskets that you can't see in because he does use
all of these to store stuff, and it kind of bothers me that you can see everything, so I'm
going to work on getting some baskets that hide the things he's storing in there. We're going to
replace the flooring in here. This is the original flooring to the house. I think what we're going to
is replace both bathrooms and the kitchen all at the same time, and then who knows what else we'll
do in here. I don't know, but I know the flooring is top priority to get changed in here, and then
I have these little shelves behind my toilet that I use. Like, I keep toiletries in there,
and then the other two are just for just to look pretty. My candle's crooked. I need to
straighten that up, and then I have another little hand-painted piece of art. I like to pull that out
in the living room during the fall time and display it on my mantel because it's the perfect
fall piece of art. All right, let's come in here. You didn't get a good view of this piece over here.
If you hear me bumping and see me bumping, it's because I'm walking right into the furniture.
Can't seem to walk straight today. So there's that piece. We found that pretty inexpensively
at an antique store. Okay, the last thing I need to show you is my guest bathroom, and that
should be pretty quick. Let me get you there. Actually, I forgot to show you the Krull pieces
that I have collected. Four of these were gifts from Susan at the Old So-and-So, the four largest
pieces, and I love them so much. I did change the frames out a little bit. I kind of sanded them
down, but there's two different types of frames on there, but the colors are absolutely perfect,
and they match my house so well, and then I have two other pieces of the smaller Krull work.
The third piece to this little set is in my kitchen, but I just put these together to make
a little wall decor setting, and I love it, and it's just right here on David's side of the bed.
We have a lot of cords sticking around, so just ignore them. So we're back at the beginning. This
is my spare bathroom or my guest bathroom. Summer uses this room primarily because, like I said
earlier, she moved back home with us, and this is her room, and we're not going in there because
that's her private area, so we're not going to do that, and then I've got my craft room right here,
which I told you is an atrocity, but let's look in here for a minute. So I did wallpaper this wall.
This wall was fairly simple to do. It wasn't the worst of the wallpapering projects. Definitely
the kitchen was the worst, but this bathroom is really small, so it's not the easiest to film in
and do a kind of a tour of, but we're going to try. I've got this little shelf that I got from Ross,
and I keep her q-tips and her cotton swabs in there, just a little sign for her to see in the
mornings because we all need a little bit of a little bit of Jesus first thing in the morning
to get us going, do we not? And then just this is again a little, I like to frame pieces that are
too small, so you'll see that a lot, but I like this little sign, but it was a little small, and
it was a little plain, so I just framed it with a bigger, more interesting frame, and I just like
the way that looks. So I did that a lot in the house, and I have a lot of little owls, and we're
going to come over here to this side, and none of this is functional. This is just pretty. That's my
girls again, and up here you'll see yet another plate, plate wall. This one is my brown and neutral
plate wall, and I just think that this bathroom needed those colors in here because it is so
small. I don't want to get too crazy in here with colors like I do with every other spot. After
showing you that, this is my shower curtain, after showing you this, I'm talking about I don't want
to get too crazy in here with colors, but I don't know, I think it's it's a perfect little accent
wall, and then we just have a little hamper, place to dry your hands, and this is another example of
how I framed out something smaller. This is actually three pieces, so we've got this wooden frame,
a metal frame, and then one of these cheap little metal owls, and I just put it all together and
made a piece of artwork out of it. I've got these little candle holders on the wall, and then behind
the toilet, I just have a little sign. I don't know, I just come up with that. I thought that looked
kind of 70s, and she keeps her toiletries in there, and then we've got a couple little photographs over
here. I am not short of photographs of my girls, that's for sure, and that's where the toilet is.
So that's all there is to this spare bathroom. We're gonna back out of here. Let me turn the light out.
Now, I told you this is my craft room. I have these cute little owls here, too, that I got
from Carol at My Blessed Nest. I bought those from her. I'm gonna show you what it looks like.
I'm just gonna show you my shame, and we're all friends here, right? I'm sure you've already
subscribed to this point. If you haven't, reach down and subscribe, because now we're best friends.
I'm showing you my shame. This is my craft room, and it is a mess. I also use this for storing
all of my extra decor that I have that I don't use all the time. That's why I have
all these shelves, but this is Wedding Prep Central, Grand Central Station. We're doing all
the things in here. I will, I'm not gonna promise you anything, I will try to say that I will come
in here and show you what this looks like clean, but I don't want to make any promises, but what we
have here is we have lots of greenery that I use to decorate for the different spots in the house.
I like to put them in here. I have some little hangers that I hang them on. This little thing
here is on wheels. My sister actually made that and gave it to me, so I love it. It works perfect
in here for me, but this is all of my extra pieces of greenery. We have some framed patterns, sewing
patterns that we put up. David put these shelves up recently for me, and I did a video where I
decorated these shelves with all of my owls, so if you're interested in that, I have a much more
aesthetic view of these in another video. I have these, all of these little spots in here that store
all of my craft supplies and things that I work with, and it's normally not like this.
I've got some shelves here that David built. I also collect salt and pepper shakers. Again, I have a
much more aesthetic video where I show them all to you that you could go back and watch if you're
interested. This is just where I keep extras, things that I'm not currently using right now. I come in
here, I switch things out all the time. Some more salt and pepper shakers, and then I have another
shelf over here with all of my owls. So I had so many, I had to kind of put them
somewhere, and I didn't have anywhere else in the house to put them, but when I broke that piece of
what do you call it, depression glass by taking it out to my shed, I decided that I needed to
come up with a better option for storing my pieces of my collections because of the change in
temperature. So I got these little shelves, and I just brought them in here, and that's just kind of
how I move things around. I also have this closet here that's full. This is the wedding dress right
here. This closet is full too. It's just a slam full of stuff. Maybe one day we'll do
a nicer view for you guys. I don't want to promise it in today's video because I just don't think
it's going to happen. All right, so that's all we have of this atrocity. Let's come out here,
and I think that's everything. I would like to include the front yard and the backyard,
but again, let me show you my shame. We had a storm come through here the other day. It was
pretty bad. It had some pretty bad winds, and we had to lay everything down. Everything looks like
it did from that day. Can you see? I don't know if you can see or not, but all of my outdoor furniture
is laying down. My swing is down. It's just a mess out there. I don't want to take you out there and
show you all that, but I will say this. That little shed right there is where I keep all of
my holiday decor, and that's the only reason I'm able to decorate the way that I decorate is
because I have so much storage out there, but that's why we're not doing an outdoor video today
because it's just a mess out there. The front porch is decorated for St. Patrick's Day. There's
a video up for that if you want to see it, but I think that's all I'm going to share today. I think
that pretty much sums up what my little house looks like, so I'm going to turn this camera around
and I'm going to say my goodbyes. All right, everybody. That's all that I have for you for
today. I hope that you enjoyed the tour of my little vintage home. If you saw something in here
that kind of sparked that little bit of nostalgia and you say to yourself, I remember that, then you
need to subscribe to my channel because I think that's what we do a lot of. I like to go shopping
and thrifting and focus on those things that you may remember from a time that you can't quite get
to anymore. Those pieces that make you say, I have forgotten all about that. My mother had one of
those or my aunt had one of those. I remember eating off of that plate. Those are the things
that I just love. I love that feeling, that little God wink that you get when you see
a piece of your history and a piece of your past that you had just kind of forgotten about, but
memory brings a smile to your face and a warm feeling in your heart. That is the best feeling,
is it not? That's what we like to do around here. If it sounds like something you'd be interested in,
make sure that you have liked and subscribed to my channel. We're going to go on lots of
adventures. We're planning a wedding right now. If that sounds like something you're interested in
tagging along with, we are all in that right now. That's what we're doing. Until next time,
I love you all and I'll see you later. Bye.
