Julius von Klever (1850-1924)

Julius Sergius von Klever (1850–1924) was a renowned Russian landscape painter of Baltic German descent, known for his romantic, high-contrast works depicting the northern forests, winter landscapes, and Russian farms. Born in Dorpat, Estonia, he studied at the Royal Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg and was famous for his technique of using saturated colors and intricate detail.
