Cooking $200 Wagyu on a Campfire… Bad Idea?

Today I am on a camping trip to the same place where I did my first solo camping trip a year ago. It feels so good to be back here. A little bit funny. I can really feel how far I've come in a year of solo camping. The last time I came here, I felt so nervous. But now I've done many solo camping trips since then. And I've become much more confident about being out on my own. I hope you'll come along on my journey. It is a beautiful Sunday, but it is extremely windy. I hope the sound isn't too bad. The wind is up to 19 meters per second. So it is really very significant for Denmark. So I hope I can have the tent set up for me. Oh yes, enjoy the night without it overwhelming you. I think I'll go on the same camping trip that I took a year ago. The last time I was here, I think it would be nice to take almost the same trip. With much more experience. Today I used my fishing rod. So I hope to do some fishing later. But I've also invited some guests over for dinner. I'm preparing a special dinner today. Since it's my one-year anniversary, I'm going solo camping. And post videos here on my YouTube channel. So I've bought some really, really beautiful men, whom I'm going to cook over the fire. Then I invited my mother and my mother's husband to come out here and have dinner with me. So I think it's going to be really nice. First, I will set up my tent. I've used my whole-berry tent. It is a two-person tent. It is a 3-season series. It's really, really easy. This large tent weighs only 1.8 kilograms. I think it's incredibly impressive when you see how huge it is. It's really exciting. Especially when I'm alone. This wind is so wild. The camera fell right over. Now I will try to set up my tent. It was a bit challenging in this wind. But I got it up. And I think it looks good. Fortunately, I have some time to test it in the wind. Before I go to sleep tonight. Let's go and see it. That would be so nice. It's been a long time since I last used this tent. I really love it. As you can see, it's that big. For one person. I would like a good evening here. Look at this view. I can't believe how happy I am. Before I do any fishing, I think I should pick a little more lingonberries. The family will arrive in one and a half hours. So I don't want to leave traffic. I need to be prepared with firewood and food. I have my lingonberries with me. It's from the brand Silky. A Japanese brand that makes really good lingonberries. So if you're looking for one, I can highly recommend them. You can buy them in various sizes. I have the one called Silky Big Boy. Real name. But it's the medium size I have. You can get both smaller and larger ones. The good thing about this wind is that I got a large amount of fallen bilberries. It's dripping down from the trees. So it's good for my blueberry. I think I have enough bilberries now to start the fire. Then I can always go and gather more. I can just do half an hour of fishing before I have to start the burning. So I'm ready for my dinner guests. There's actually another tent out here, on the campside. But I haven't seen anyone coming in or out. I think a year ago I would have been extremely nervous about another tent. I would have probably just gone home if I had come and seen it. Yes, as I said, I've come a long way. My battle scars and just feel necessary out here. Actually, I don't feel nervous about seeing another tent. I mean, why would I be nervous? You know, sometimes your fire can burn you. I was thinking of trying this one for my fishing. I didn't have any luck with my fishing, of course. It was really, really easy. And since it's so windy, I could only get it out a couple of meters. So I don't think it was the best place for fishing. But it was nice with the sun in the water. Just standing there, having a fresh moment. Now I need to show you what I used for dinner. I have bought some Wagyu steaks from Japan. They are quite small, but it is necessary that it is what you use for a person. I have never had wagyu steak before. But I know it's because of all the fat in the butter; you can see you don't actually need much of it to get drunk. So this is a stack of 120 grams, which should be enough for one person. I've never had wagyu steak before, so I'm really, really excited to try it. I've only heard it's extremely delicious. Oh yes, they were really expensive. But this is my annual anniversary for my channel, so I wanted to do something a little special. I used a new tool today. It's a huge pan for a giant fire, but it's quite small. If you've followed my channel, you know I've really been looking for a pan to use over the giant fire. It doesn't weigh two kilograms. I think this one might weigh a bit more than a kilo. Yes, the fire has reduced it to a small size. And it has these lies, which you can take off. So I can also use it on the stove when I make a big fire. I'm really excited to try it out. And I think it will be perfect for buying my vacuum cleaners. This huge fire has become really popular this evening. Two young children have just arrived and are sitting down in the water. And now there's also a pair. I'm not sure if they're going to fight, but it looks like they're going to have dinner here. Which I can certainly understand. It's a lovely evening. I'm just thinking about when my afternoon guests will arrive. It's not the same as having my mother back. He is always super early. That's why I wanted to be ready with the big fire. It was such a good dinner. The milk was really, really good. I have never tasted anything like it. And it was just so thin. My family is back home now. It's evening now. What time is it? It is 8:15. The two young children have lit their candles. Next to mine. So 10 meters from my lit cigarette. But now I think I should unpack here at the big fire. Oh, hope into the lit one. I need to set up my sleeping system. And then I think I'll just call it an early evening. It has been such a lovely evening. It was really fun to have visitors out here in the woods. I can hear the children jumping into the water. It sounds like it's very cold. It screams. Now I'm going to go and sleep. I will see you tomorrow. Good morning. It has been a good evening in the glow. It has actually been quite warm. Yes, it's new. I'm used to the cold since November. But now the temperature is really dropping. It's really beautiful. The children have been awake for two hours. So I think I should look up and get some coffee. It's just such a beautiful morning. The weather is completely cold. The vote is gone. The son is awake, and there's no wind in the sky. It's just cold. It's really fun to think about, since I slept here last year. On my first solo camping trip. I was so nervous and scared. And I really didn't sleep well. I kept waking up constantly. I had all these dark dreams about people coming into my lit-up house. But this night I slept well. I always wake up a couple of times. But I'm not nervous or scary. Many things have happened. Maybe it's a good attention. Sometimes it's just necessary to perform. And then you'll get better at achieving what you want. Last year, I made a New Year's resolution. To try out my first solo camping trip. And I did it in April. And I've been on many trips since then. And it has just been so good. So if there's something you want to do. I'd say you just need to go ahead and start. For I think the first time is the hardest. But you learn a lot. And then you just want to get away from there. All is packed up. And I'm ready to go home to get some morning. The tent that was here yesterday is gone now. She was there when I went to bed. A little after 9. It's crazy.
