Anastasia Zakharova vs Linda Noskova 2026 Rome Round 2 WTA Match Highlights

Things seem to be conspiring against Noskova in that point. Good point, she liked that. Aggressive return, what a winner that was. Got it wrong there, under a bit of pressure. And then when she had time to pick a shot. Later on the circuit. That's just too good, what a shot that is. Fair with the previous drop shot when she had more time to think about it, that one. I think she was a little nervous about whether that would drop in or not. And that's dragged wide, another error. And the set is over, don't think she quite knew the scoreline there. Stayed for a moment before realising that it's Linda Noskova that takes the opening set. That's a great shot. Swiping at thin air and already break points at the start of the second. Yeah, nicely to the net there. It's a break point. Just a beautiful backhand. What a winner. Definite feeling that things are on the turn for her here. Made it, well done. Nastasija Zahareva covering the ground there. No mistake from Zahareva, kept knocking at the door and eventually got the point. Is she marching now? 13 of those have come in the last 12 calendar months. Oh, goodness me. That was indecision and then trying to change too quickly. But a second serve ace to finish it off. She does get the aces to double faults tally and positive ratio. And Linda Noskova marches into the third round. Keeping her record of having lost just one opening encounter this season.
