Hey friends, in today's video we are talking all about affordable beauty.
I'm sharing with you some of my current favorites from the drugstore
or at Ulta at an accessible and affordable price point.
So let's go ahead and jump right in.
Okay, so I do want to share most of these are new drugstore releases.
So they're not just new products I've been using but they're actually new releases.
And then there are a few of my kind of holy grail favorites in here.
But let's go ahead and jump right into two new foundations
that I've been using and loving and are pretty new-ish in terms of releases.
They are both from Maybelline.
We're going to start first with the Maybelline 30 Hour Lumi Matte Foundation.
This is what I have on today because it's a very humid rainy day in Austin.
I love this foundation.
When I want a foundation that is just going to look good
from the moment I apply it in the morning until the moment I wash it off in the evening,
this is one that I can rely on.
It's got a very soft matte finish.
So it's not going to look heavy.
I mean if you over apply it, it sure could of course look heavy.
But that's the great thing about this is because it's got great coverage,
you don't need a lot.
So I like to apply it with the 101 Foundation Brush because this brush is large.
And I will kind of work it into the brush from my hand.
And then I will go to the face and I will just start to move the brush around
and press and dab it all over the skin.
That way I'm getting the most mileage and coverage.
And I don't just mean in like natural, medium, full coverage.
I mean in coverage, like surface area coverage with this brush.
So this brush allows me to maximize and spread this product out
because you don't need a lot.
It has got great coverage.
Again, it's a soft matte finish.
So it's not a heavy, flat, like cakey looking finish at all.
And it just lasts and looks so beautiful all day.
I would go between the shades 120 and 125.
I'm wearing 125 today.
I think my preferred shade is 120.
But as I was applying this, I thought this looked great too.
So that's just kind of my shade range if that helps.
By the way, everything I'm talking about will be tagged in YouTube Shopping.
So you guys will see it pop up on the screen.
You can shop it that way.
I'll also link everything in the description box along with my shade names.
Okay, so again, 125 or 120 in this one.
The next I have a newer one that I've been using recently.
This is the Maybelline Plump and Glow Foundation.
And this is beautiful.
This is a great alternative if you don't want a matte finish,
but you want a bit more of a glowy finish.
But it still wears beautifully all day.
I find that I get great longevity out of this.
Not quite so much as much as the 30-hour matte.
Like I do feel like I need to touch this up throughout the day once, maybe twice.
But it doesn't look bad at all.
If I forgot to touch up, it wouldn't look bad.
It would just look a little bit more dewy or glowy than I prefer.
Really beautiful though.
So this would be great for those of you that have drier skin,
drier patches, or you just kind of want to plump up the skin and give a subtle glow.
It's absolutely beautiful.
Coverage is very nice.
A good solid medium coverage.
And again, I have the shade 120 in this and it is a perfect match.
Okay, let's talk about a new powder I've been loving.
This is from NYX.
This is the Wonder Snatch Loose Powder.
This is so light.
It's like light as air powder.
I mean, almost when I pick it up with a brush and I go to apply it,
it almost kind of just like, it just is the lightest powder I think that I have tried.
It's so beautiful.
I think this, if you're looking for like the lightest powder on the market
in terms of what I've tried, this would probably be it.
This is the shade 01 Sugar Serve.
And it's just really beautiful.
It comes in this little jar.
I like to tap it into the lid here.
And I like to use, you can use so many brushes to apply it.
I mean, even when you tap it, you can just see how light it is.
It's so, so light, which means you can really layer this up if you like,
without it looking heavy.
It just softly matte and blurs the skin without looking or feeling
like you've added a heavy powder to the skin.
It's really beautiful.
I think this is great for underneath the eyes.
Now, this definitely is a mattifying powder.
So this is not a powder if you like to keep a little bit of glow
or radiance to the skin.
But this is really nice.
I'm traveling this week and I'm definitely going to take this with me.
I also like that it's a small size.
Usually we see loose powders that are large jars.
And this is nice, small, and compact.
This is great.
Okay, let's talk about a couple of blushes that I've been loving.
So this one I've been loving for a little while.
This is the Maybelline Cloudtopia Cheek and Lip Mousse.
I really love this on the cheeks.
On the lips, it gives a very kind of blurred look,
but it feels a little too dry.
I like moisture on the lips and I don't get it from this product.
This is the shade 05 Coral Illusion.
These are pretty pigmented.
So a little bit of these go a long way.
They have a really interesting mousse-like texture to them.
But even if you over-apply it,
which you will see me applying it here at first.
Initially I felt like I had over-applied it.
It just blends out beautifully.
It's very blurred.
I feel like blurred is the word of the year.
Everything I'm using lately blurs the skin, which we love, right?
But it really does kind of blur and give this cloud-like look to the skin.
It's a mousse texture, so I wouldn't necessarily...
It's closest to a cream, but it's a little lighter than a cream.
It's really beautiful.
I keep meaning to go pick up other shades of it, but I have not yet.
I think every time I've looked online, the shade range...
I might be mistaken, but I think the shade range is a little limited.
And this was like kind of the best option,
but I wanted to get something a little soft rosy pink.
So note to self, get online and look to see
if there's a soft pink-like kind of light shade.
But this is really beautiful.
Next, I want to share the new Cheek Thrills from Morphe.
So I picked up two shades.
I picked up the shade Beach Bonfire, which is peach.
And then I picked up the pink one, which is Blind Date.
I have this one here on my cheeks right here.
So you get this cream formula.
And the cream is actually pretty sheer, you guys.
It's not like super pigmented, which is nice for a blush
because it gives you some versatility.
But when I went to apply this at first, I was like,
oh, this didn't give me as much impact as like,
I would say the Patrick Ta does.
But you can definitely build it up.
It's really beautiful.
And then you also have this cream below it,
which has a little bit more of a highlight shimmer to it.
Not sure how I feel about that.
I find the shimmer to be a little bit...
I feel like I like cream products
because it gives me that dewy glow without pearl.
This has pearl to it.
But now that I look at it, it's not a heavy pearl at all.
But I do have this on my cheeks and I love it.
And then you have a powder here at the bottom.
Let me show you what the powder looks like.
So you do get a kind of a range in shade.
Obviously, they're all kind of the similar tone,
but I would say the powder blush
is a little bit more pinky peach,
whereas the cream blushes are more peach.
So that's what this one looks like.
This is the one I have on.
And then we also have Blind Date.
So really love these.
I think these sit around under $20 if I'm not mistaken.
So they are definitely not necessarily drugstore,
but still under $20.
It's a great option if you're looking for a product like this
compared to some higher end.
This is the more pinky shade.
Really beautiful.
Love that.
I love how sheer these are because again,
you can build them up if you want more,
but they're very easy to work with.
And this is the powder too.
The powder's nice and silky
and has a little bit of a light reflective quality to it.
These are very nice.
If you've been curious about these,
I like them and I'd recommend them.
Okay, let's jump over to a powder bronzer.
This one from Milani.
This is the Amalfi Glow Baked Bronzer.
So beautiful.
Soft powder, a little bit of a slight radiant
kind of light reflective quality to it.
I actually set this on top of the cream bronzer that I use,
and I'll share that bronzer with you in just a second.
And it was beautiful.
I applied it with the 104 brush,
which is a large kind of a fluffy brush.
I will say when you tap it on here,
there is quite a bit of kickback.
Do you see all of that powder?
It's kind of messy in a sense,
but it's very sheer and light.
So that's the only like con I would say
is there's a little bit of a mess when you go to apply it,
but it's beautiful on the skin.
So if you can kind of get over that
or that doesn't bother you,
these are so good.
But I did want to call that out
because I know some people,
like for some people, that's a deal breaker.
Not for me, but for some people it is.
So wanted to share that.
Really beautiful powder bronzer.
Okay, the cream bronzer that I have it on top of
that I mentioned is the Morphe Bronzer.
This is the Cheek Thrills Bronze and Tone Duo.
This is the shade Maui Surf.
And this is the cream that I have on.
And this is the medium shade.
There's one shade lighter,
but isn't that beautiful?
It's nice and cool toned.
It's not too warm,
but it's not too gray either.
And you have this kind of warmer powder
here down right here.
So you get a little bit of a cool tone contour shade
and then you get a powder bronzer.
Both formulas are really nice and sheer and buildable,
which is so perfect for cheek products.
That's what you want in a cheek product.
You know, there's might be some products
that we want a lot of pigment payoff,
but with cheek products,
I really feel like buildable and sheer is better
than full out pigment from the bat
because it can be really difficult and challenging
to blend those out and to work with them.
So highly recommend this.
Okay, another cheek product from Milani I want to share.
This is the Baked Blush in the shade Berry Amour.
Similar to the bronzer, very light, sheer,
beautiful, soft highlight.
I added this on top of my cream blush today
and it just gave the softest like highlight.
I do think that if you want a lot of color,
you're going to have to layer this
and layer this to get it.
But again, it's beautiful to top it on top of a blush
that you might have on like a cream bronzer to maybe set it
and to give a little oomph of color
and a little bit of highlight.
So pretty.
Okay, so I've had these sitting up here
for probably a month or so
and I've been meaning to share them,
but e.l.f. recently launched these eyeshadow,
liquid eyeshadows and I picked up four shades.
I picked up the shade Beige and Bougie
and I'm going to show you swatches of all of these,
but I picked up the shade Beige and Bougie.
I picked up the shade Pink Chiffon.
I picked up the shade Extra Toasted,
which is what I have on my eyes today.
So on my eyes, I have the Extra Toasted
just sheared out all over the lid
and then I just have a little bit of the Morphe bronzer,
the powder in my crease.
That's all I have on my lid.
I have no eyeliner aside from mascara.
Those are the only two products I have.
And then I also have the shade Ginger Snap,
which is a really pretty, rich, warm brown.
So these are fantastic.
They are a liquid eyeshadow.
They look very pigmented here
in the swatches that you'll see on my hand.
But you can see as I'm applying it on the eye,
they kind of sheer out a bit.
They're very easy to work with.
I like that they're pretty pigmented
because you can also use them as liner.
I've used a Ginger Snap as liner and it is beautiful.
Once they dry down, they set really well,
but they don't feel dry and heavy.
And with liquid eyeshadows,
when they are a thinner and more sheer texture like these
versus like the Makeup By Mario longwear,
those are not necessarily sheer.
But these will not,
like if you've had trouble with longwear eyeshadows,
like liquid eyeshadows in the past
because they look too dry,
this would be a good option.
You want it to be more sheer than more heavy.
So really like these, highly recommend.
Okay, Lash Extensionist Mascara from L'Oreal.
This was a Niki La Rose recommendation.
She's like, you haven't tried this,
you have to go get it.
So of course I raced to the store and I picked it up.
So good, it's what I have on my lashes today.
I mean, this just gives quick length to the lashes.
Like you just do a couple of swipes
and boom, you have these like extra long lashes.
The wand really separates the lash,
has a slight curve to the wand,
which is nice because it helps kind of lift the lashes.
And the brush really, I feel like,
coats and separates every single lash
so you don't get clumpy, heavy lashes.
Really beautiful.
No issues with this flaking
or smudging on me throughout the day.
Very, very nice.
I love it.
In fact, I loved it so much
that I didn't feel the need to put on eyeliner today
because my lashes, I feel like,
give me enough of that definition of my lash line.
Really love this.
Okay, guys, let's talk about the Lumi Glotion.
This is such a beautiful product.
If you don't have this product, I highly recommend it.
This is such a versatile product.
I like to put this on my shoulders
when I have a night out or I'm showing my shoulders.
I will take this and apply it on my shoulders
to just give a little color
and the most subtle like glow to the skin.
This just looks like your skin is glowing
and you don't have makeup on it.
You know, it's so, so beautiful.
You can also wear this all over the face
if you want a little bit of a highlight
and glow under your foundation.
You can mix this with your foundation.
You can apply this on top of your foundation
in just like a key little areas.
This is kind of the more tan shade.
It's the medium.
I also like the light shade as well,
but these are so, so beautiful.
I had mine kind of tucked away.
I hadn't used it in a while
and like two weeks ago, I pulled it out
and I've been wearing it almost every single day.
It's just one of those little touches
that makes the biggest difference.
So highly recommend this
if you like a little bit of a glow.
It does dry down, which is really nice.
It doesn't stay sticky or tacky on the skin.
So it feels very weightless.
Okay, friends, let's get into lip products.
I have a few lip products to share with you.
So I want to share this
Blur Filler Lip Contour from L'Oreal.
I have the shade Nude Espresso.
And lately I've been talking
about that road lip peptide product
that I've been putting above my upper lip
on my Cupid's bow
and then at the very bottom of my lip
to add some volume.
So every time Nikki does my makeup,
she takes bronzer and she puts it there.
And I'm telling you, it is the difference
in just making my lips looks
like when I get my lips done by Nikki,
I get compliments on my lips.
I never get compliments on my lips,
but that's just the impact that that makes.
I mean, there's so many things she does
that just make your lips pop,
but this is one of them.
And I find this so much easier
to use personally than bronzer.
It looks a little strange at first
because you want to apply this first
before you've applied your liner
and your lipstick.
And at first you're going to think
like this looks weird.
It looks dirty,
but just kind of tap it with your finger
if you want to blur it out,
then go apply your lip liner,
then your lipstick,
and you will notice your lips
just look so like full,
like it looks like you've just gotten lip filler.
It's the wildest thing.
So this is a great option to the road.
The one that I shared a few weeks ago.
I really love it.
The shade is nice.
It's a nice kind of light, light kind of spicy,
but there's a little bit of warmth to it too.
So it's not too gray or too brown.
I think the color tone is perfect
for this specific purpose.
It's so nice.
You can also use this to fill the entire lip in
if you want to use it like lipstick,
but I really like to use this to shape the lip
before liner and lipstick.
I want to share this lip liner from Milani.
This is the Keep It Full Plumping Lip Liner,
and this is the shade 140 Twice Spice.
This is such a great nude liner.
So creamy, so pigmented, long lasting.
This just stays on the lips.
It really, really does.
There is a little bit of a tingle sensation,
but I would say it's pretty mild,
maybe moderate.
I would say maybe it's moderate.
It's not like super subtle,
but it's not strong and uncomfortable either
like the Too Faced ones were.
And the color's beautiful.
Look at that.
It's like the perfect kind of neutral,
spicy, everyday liner shade.
I love this one.
I also have in a darker one that I wore one time,
but it is a little darker,
but I want to share it with you
in case you like a darker lip liner.
This is the shade Hot Shot, 150 Hot Shot.
So it's a little deeper brown.
Okay, let's share this lipstick from Maybelline.
This is the shade Crop Top.
It's a matte.
They actually sent me PR.
I want to show this box.
So I need to still dive in
and try all of the different shades that they sent.
But they just launched these,
the new Maybelline serum lipsticks.
They have a matte and then they have a satin.
So this is the shade Crop Top right here.
I'll swatch it for you,
but they have beautiful shades.
Some of them are matte.
Some of them are satin.
I've just played with this matte one and I love it.
Let me show you the shade.
I'll show you some video of me applying it too,
but it's just like the perfect peachy neutral.
I mean, that lip combo I actually have on the L'Oreal.
I have on the Milani lip liner
and then I have this lipstick.
Isn't that pretty?
It's matte, but it's so comfortable.
Very, very comfortable, lightweight lipstick.
It's long wearing because it's not super glossy and creamy.
It's just beautiful.
Love this.
If you like a nice light peachy nude,
this is one you should definitely grab.
If you want a good affordable lip combo,
these three together, so good.
The cherry on top was this new Plump Ambition
Hyaluronic Lip Oil from L'Oreal.
This reminds me very much of the Bobbi Brown
Plump Lip Serum that I love.
I love that serum and this reminds me so much of it.
This is the shade 201 Milky and it's just perfect.
You can see what it does.
It just gives a high shine, a little bit of tint,
like kind of softens the color a little bit,
but you still see that color coming through.
The wand is nice and flexible, very much like the Bobbi Brown.
I really, really feel like this is a dupe
for my Bobbi Brown Lip Serum that I love.
These are fantastic.
So comfortable, very nourishing on the lips.
It feels like a lip oil and a lip treatment
with an added benefit of a little tint and some gloss.
It's so nice.
Okay, and the last product I want to share is from e.l.f.
This is their Glow Reviver Lipstick
and this is the shade Rose Latte.
I was wearing this a ton over the last month.
This is like one of those balmy sheer lipsticks.
You can build it up to get a little color.
Isn't that pretty?
Just so much shine.
I love that color.
Just a great everyday rose shade.
Throw it on your lips without liner.
If you just want to enhance your lip color a bit,
have some hydration and have some shine.
The one thing I will say about this,
it's not a long lasting color,
so you do need to reapply it throughout the day,
but I just love it.
It's just one of those easy things that you can put on
without needing a mirror,
without needing to put a lip liner on
and really shape the lips.
So good.
Okay friends, that wraps up this video.
As I mentioned, everything will be tagged in YouTube Shopping
so you can shop it that way.
Everything will be linked in the description box.
Thank you so much for watching this video
and also will you drop a comment
and let me know what your favorite drugstore products are,
what you've been testing and trying recently and loving.
I would love to know.
Gives me future shopping lists and ideas to try myself.
So thank you for watching.
I hope you enjoyed it and I will see you in my next one.
Bye.
