When Is The END of the WORLD?

When Is the End of the World?, continues our 3 part study. In this video we discuss the sealing up of vision and prophecy showing first how to test the false prophets who make end of the world predictions and assign future dates. This video also addresses the current preoccupation with the Mayan calendar date of December 21, 2012.

Next, we demonstrate from the prophecy of Deuteronomy 18, that Moses promised a prophet like him whom God would raise up in the last days, i.e. the days which had come in their fulness within Christ's very own generation in the first century. The word used in Mark 1:15 is "pepleromai" to indicated that the time was filled to the full and no future generation could be added to it because it was filled to the overflow for the prophecies of Daniel and the eschatological kingdom to arrive in the end of the Jewish age, commonly misunderstood as the end of the Christian age or end of the world, i.e. geo-physical world, the most embarrassing blunder of modern and past religious history.

Following this is a discussion from Zechariah 13 which shows that the false prophets and unclean spirits (demons) etc would pass out of the land of Israel. Thus, all those who claimed to yet prophecy would be reprimanded for this attempts to even do so. This puts to shame the so-called prophet of today.

We've chronicled a few of the past prophecies all of which have failed and lined them up against the litmus test of a true prophet. One of the most notable of all modern prophetic failures is that of Edgar Whisenant's 1988, "88 Reasons Why the Rapture is in 1988, an arrogantly claimed but dismal failure.

Finally, we address Daniel 9:24f, with the prophecy of the 70 weeks terminating in the destruction of Jerusalem in A.D. 70, to be the context for the six blessings, one of which was the sealing up of vision and prophecy. Thus, God closes the door on prophetic utterance in the first, century, 40 years after it opened on Pentecost with the gift of tongues. All of this ties in with the current and ongoing repeated failures of prophelying men and women, who through ignorance or arrogance keep misleading the people.
