The Holocene The Dawn of Civilization Early Humans Documentary

Eleven thousand seven hundred years ago, with the onset of climate change across the world, the Holocene Epoch came into being. Out of the throws of the Pleistocene Ice Age and into the world we know today, early humans had established themselves across most of the world, from America to Australia, and were poised to take over the world.

Gone were the major threats of the Pleistocene - dangerous megafauna, crumbling glaciers and chilling winds were, for the most part, gone - and humanity stood on the verge of civilisation. In the Middle East and much of Europe, early humans had settled down in permanent settlements, and were driven by a major technological advancement: agriculture.
