St. Patrick’s Day Decor Ideas | Simple and Elegant Spring Decorating

I'm starting to speak now. You Hey there welcome to my home for another decorating video today, we are decorating for st. Patrick's Day I'm a little late in the season. I usually decorate right at the end of February, but with the new puppy running around I'm a little behind on my decorating schedule, but that's okay I'm really looking forward to bringing some of those festive fun and Lucky touches to the house today and of course sharing it here with you before I get started I am enjoying my coffee because I cannot do anything without my morning coffee. So whatever's on this table I tend to look at and enjoy daily for st. Patrick's Day this year I wanted the decor in the house to lean a little more towards a spring garden feel while still including a few subtle nods To the Irish holiday around my home a lot of my focus today is really on just creating spring Arrangements that can serve as centerpieces like this one just for different vignettes and tables throughout the house You'll notice in this video that as I decorate today I'm keeping the palette fresh with just greens and whites so that it feels seasonal without looking Overly themed or March. I find that when you build a few really beautiful seasonal arrangements that you like like this one and a few others I'm going to show you throughout this video You can style multiple spaces with them keep them throughout the spring season if you'd like But they still look really great for st Patrick's Day if you're celebrating or hosting and I just think that makes the decor feel more intentional and more cohesive with the season rather than Filling just every surface with lots of small Maybe holiday pieces if you're someone who enjoys decorating for the different seasons and holidays like I do But sometimes you struggle with the traditional holiday decor in stores Especially for holidays like Valentine's Day or st Patrick's Day because it tends to sometimes lean more towards party supplies like paper plastic decor Novelty pieces then hopefully this video will give you a few ideas that are a little Less on-the-nose for the holiday and more just simple elegant Seasonal touches that still ring true to the theme of the holiday that we're celebrating I personally love celebrating the holidays But I do like to approach them in a way that still honors the tradition while feeling a little bit more elevated and timeless In my house one of the easiest ways that I do that for st Patrick's Day is by leaning into the color palette that is associated with the holiday instead of focusing on overt symbols I focus on rich greens fresh whites and just natural Elements that create a garden inspired look a few clovers here and there and it still feels very much in the spirit of this season But it also feels a little more Elevated and a little more like home decor and not so much like party decor from there I do like to layer things like greenery and florals and a few subtle subtle Irish touches So that this space feels festive, but also cohesive with the rest of my home I Am keeping the fireplace mantle really simple this year But definitely on theme for st Patrick's by using these faux shamrock bundles and green clover wreath on the mirror here. I'll be sure to have them linked below if they're still available These are some great faux florals to keep in your spring collection You For those of you who watched my last video I thought I would give you a quick Theo update he's doing really well He is still very much a baby loves being carried around everywhere and he is seriously the biggest little cuddle bug ever I'm definitely soaking in all of those puppy cuddles right now We are doing our best to make sure that his little leg heals properly and he and Millie are already becoming so close They are adorably rambunctious together and they are definitely keeping this house very lively The three older pups I have are definitely on their toes with these two They're truly becoming a great little pack and I'm just so happy for them We're still technically fostering Theo. But as many of you have mentioned in my comments on the last video I saw your comments Theo very well may become a foster fail. He's just he's bonding with everyone over here I just don't know if I will be able to give him away I already love him so much. You may be seeing a little more of him in the future We'll see he's still technically a foster, but I already see him very much. So is my little guy So I will keep you updated This moment right now was so cute I had to leave it in camera guy had been at the grocery store and as soon as he came through the door Millie Stopped what she was doing and ran to greet him. She loves him so much and Theo, of course wanted to follow her He loves to do everything Millie does I know y'all don't see camera guy on the videos because he does like to stay behind the camera But Millie absolutely adores him. Their little relationship is so cute He is her favorite person and I really love the bond that they share For spring one of my go-tos is faux florals in a beautiful basket This tulip arrangement is incredibly simple to put together But I feel like it always looks so beautifully styled whether it's on a table or a console or even on the kitchen countertop These are honestly some of the best faux tulips I've found I've had these for several years now and they have held up so well the colors still look really fresh and vibrant These are white, but I do have them in several other colors and the stems are really great. They're very flexible So if these are also still available I'll have them linked below as well because I know a lot of you like to enjoy Tulips for spring and if you're a faux floral girly like I am these are truly the best I printed this little saying along with a few shamrock illustrations on watercolor paper And I'm just adding them to my frame chalkboard here when it comes to seasonal decorating if you want to add small touches That don't cost a ton and you just can't really find what you're looking for in stores This is a really simple way to bring a bit of that season into your space It's just a small touch and it's personalized because you made it. So I think it makes decorating really special I'm framing another little printout that I made and I'm using a place mat that I found at Hobby Lobby as the Background inside the frame. I actually think this turned out really pretty and again It's another simple way to create seasonal artwork using things that you may even already have around your home The Centerpiece that I'm creating for the dining room today is a little more secret garden and Ireland inspired rather than traditional st Patrick's Day decor, but I really love the simple green and white and the whimsy that these bird cages bring I'm gonna use them here as candle holders, and I just think this turns out really really nice I actually found these at Michael's a last spring and I've gotten so much use out of them ever since they are one of those Pieces that I feel like works beautifully for multiple seasons and you can really style them in any way imaginable and in any space You Thank you so much for joining me here on YouTube today I hope that you have a very happy a very lucky and a very blessed st.
