China will never surpass the US.
I can prove it.
And US allies seem to see things differently.
Welcome to China Uncensored, I'm Chris Chappell.
Is China better than the United States?
You think that after that whole virus of mysterious origin, that wouldn't be a tough question
to answer.
Unless, of course, you died from that virus.
And yet, according to this Politico poll, top US allies are turning toward China instead.
And they blame Trump.
Yes, China uses rape as a form of torture, but the orange man does mean tweets.
Reasonable.
So why does Politico blame Trump?
Well, I'll tell you.
But first, let's look at what Politico found.
It starts off by saying the 21st century is more likely to belong to Beijing than to Washington.
At least, based on the public opinion in Canada, Germany, France, and the UK.
And that's wild.
These are supposed to be some of America's closest allies.
And yet their people are choosing the Chinese Communist Party.
It's like you don't even remember World War 2, France.
And Germany, it's like you remember World War 2.
Overwhelmingly, the people in these countries believe it's better to depend on China than
the US, at least under Donald Trump.
Look at how bad it is in Canada.
I haven't seen that many Canadians agree on anything since someone asked,
should we smother french fries with gravy and cheese curds?
Yes please.
This is a message Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is pushing.
About the US and China.
I'm not sure what his opinion on Putin is.
Many of our former strengths, based on our close ties to America, have become our weaknesses.
Weaknesses that we must correct.
Correct by forming a new world order with the CCP.
What's interesting is this trend is strongest among young people.
You know, the people who spent the Covid years locked into TikTok?
I wonder where they get their opinions from.
I'm sure it's all very organic.
Just like that virus that definitely didn't come from a lab.
They believe China is more technologically advanced than the US.
Must be all those drone light shows they saw on TikTok.
Which is why in 10 years, they all believe China will be the dominant world power.
Only Americans think the US will end up on top.
Which means we need to start exporting in and out internationally.
Show them the greatness of America.
Their fries don't need gravy.
And if you want to know what's even crazier, this poll was conducted before the Iran War.
I'm sure these results would all look worse now.
So there's a lot to unpack here.
First, I get why these countries don't like Trump.
I get why a lot of people don't like Trump.
But specifically, Trump makes demands of them.
For example, he wants NATO allies to spend more on defense.
He says the US is footing the bill and is getting ripped off.
And from a certain point of view, he's right.
These countries do contribute substantially less than the US to NATO.
This graph from the Atlantic Council shows that in 2025, the US spent about 980 billion
dollars.
That's substantially more than NATO, Europe, and Canada combined.
It's like that one friend who always picks up the check when you go out to dinner.
He's going to get upset if after a while you don't at least pretend to go for the bill.
Because Trump feels the US is getting ripped off, he has lashed out with tariffs.
Which are not popular with the countries getting tariffed.
And Canadians, I know, really don't like the 51st state talk.
Even though it would be perfect to call them the US of A.
And then there was that whole hysteria over whether or not Trump was actually going to
launch a military invasion of Greenland.
Sure, Trump was cryptic.
How far are you willing to go to acquire Greenland?
You'll find out.
President Trump!
But if you actually thought that the US was going to invade Greenland, man, I got a bridge
to sell you in China.
Again, I get why someone might not like Trump.
But he's become somewhat of a whipping boy for other countries to pin all of their problems on.
Recently, Canadians were shocked to find out that in terms of GDP per capita, the country
was poorer than Alabama.
Forrest Gump would be an improvement for that.
And that's before he got into the shrimping business with Bubba.
Canada essentially functions by siphoning off the wealth of the oil-rich Western provinces.
I'm also not sure how assisted suicide became what's killing 1 in 20 Canadians.
I don't think that's actually a very good advertisement for their health care system.
A similar thing happened in the UK.
The Institute of Economic Affairs, a UK think tank, did a survey and discovered that most
British people thought the UK was richer than most US states.
Turns out, not just the UK, but France is also poorer than the poorest US state by GDP per capita.
Meanwhile, Germany and Canada are just poorer than the second poorest US state.
Those are the countries Politico surveyed that think China is better than the US.
Interesting.
Which proves we should never listen to the opinions of the poors.
But while we're looking at some numbers, let's look at some of China's numbers.
A few years ago, people were talking about how China's GDP would surpass the United
States by 2030.
Let's put that illusion to rest, shall we?
America's economy continues to grow, while China's is stagnating.
They hit a wall, and it's a great one of China.
That's because the real estate market that made up about a third of China's GDP was actually
one giant bubble that has now burst, erasing all the gains from the last 20 years.
China's population is rapidly aging.
People just aren't having kids.
And even though the working age population is shrinking, the youth unemployment rate
is still sky high.
And these Western powers look at that and think, is this a cookbook?
Because that's a recipe for success.
Take a look at this.
Here's how a $5,000 investment in 2011 plays out if you put it in the US versus Chinese
equity markets.
It never catches up.
By the end, that $5,000 became over $33,000 in the US, and just over $8,000 in China.
That's why, according to Christopher Balding, a senior fellow at the Henry Jackson Society,
there isn't money to be made in China.
Nothing is profitable, and they are wildly inefficient with capital and labor.
The growth comes from blowing up debt.
That's who our allies think beats the US.
But hey, at least China's ethical and doesn't commit regular human rights abuses, right?
Right?
And I get it.
Right now, the world is unipolar.
The US is the dominant power in the world.
That might not sit well with a lot of Europeans or Canadians.
So when you hear talk about a multipolar world order, well hey, that sounds pretty good.
We aren't number one, but we get a bigger piece of the pie.
Given how poor some of them are, they can't turn down some free food.
The thing is, the multipolar world order is one led by the Chinese Communist Party.
And they don't share power.
What is happening now is a line is being drawn.
And countries and the individuals in them are deciding.
Do we tie ourselves to the free world and everything it represents?
Or do we go with the Chinese Communist Party?
And I can show you what that investment looks like.
