What's up everyone welcome back to the channel. So recently apparently there's been a bit of a
discovery. A strange and unusual natural phenomena occurred and no one even knew about it. Apparently
there was a guy and he was on google earth and he was looking for some caves in Australia and he
stumbled across a weird line in the sand. And by weird line I mean a massive ancient tornado scar.
Now in case you didn't know Australia is not known for tornadoes at all. Like
tornadoes are mostly a U.S. Canada kind of situation because of the Gulf of Mexico and
the Rocky Mountains. It doesn't matter. But Australia doesn't really get any tornadoes at
all. I mean they occasionally do. You can't forget about the 1970 buladila tornado or whatever. But
they're ultra rare. So to make such a discovery is pretty intriguing. So we're gonna go ahead and
we're gonna try to find it on google earth. We're gonna try to find the strange ancient
tornado path and then afterwards we're gonna see if we can find some other lost and forgotten
tornado paths. Yo what is that? What is that? So let's get into it. Here we are on google earth
in the great country of Australia. I actually have not found this tornado. I know the general area
but I kind of wanted to. I like to discover it you know. I want to discover it live as if it were me
who discovered the path on google earth. So here we go. I know it's near a town called Yukila or
something. Ah ah. Yukila. So and it's like north of this town. Oh oh oh. And there it is. Look at that.
Wow a line in the dirt. Okay so hold on real quick. Let's let's go back on the history here.
So what you can do is you can you can go back in time. Oh so this was circa 2021. So in 2021
it's not there and then boom it shows up in 2023. So when I said ancient I mostly meant
you know in the past two years. So let us go down and get a better look. Whoa dang.
This this is massive actually. Like this is so huge. Look at it. You can still see it. You can
still see it. You can still see it. Oh my gosh dude. You can see this from space. Look at this.
This is like the bottom part of Australia and you can still barely see it. Let's try to let's try
to zoom in on these features here. And yeah this right here is what tells me it's definitely a
tornado scar. Look at these tornado scars. Do you see the the little lines in the dirt? These are
they're called this. We we definitely have some of that action. Okay so yeah and the other thing
that's kind of sticking out to me is it starts off as like nothing. Like maybe a thin little nothing.
A little rope tornado. And as it slowly moves to the east it gets wider and wider and stronger
and stronger and then it you know comes down here it pivots goes this way and then eventually it
kind of ropes out again. Oh wait it tore through something. It tore through something. I don't know
what this this thing is but it tore through it. Do we have like a clearer image of this?
Then it and then it kind of dies kind of ropes out. Wow interesting. Now let's go ahead and
get some measurements on this thing. Wow eight miles in length and for the Europeans and other
people who aren't in the U.S. 12.6 kilometers. Wait 12.3 kilometers. Let's look at the the width.
So if we look at like the widest part of this tornado probably
maybe like right right here. Put this on feet first. About 600 feet across. That's that's pretty
large. That's pretty large. If we go to meters that's almost 200 meters across. So an article
recently published in the Journal of Southern Hemisphere Earth Systems Science written by
actually goes into detail about this tornado scar. They even traveled out to this path to get more
information and they found out that this tornado likely occurred on November 17, 2022. Apparently
at that time there's a bit of a cold front a low pressure system moving through and there's some
pretty severe thunderstorms. They even have satellite imagery from the day that this
occurred. So you can see obviously there's some storms perhaps a few supercells tearing through
this part of Australia. It's likely that a tornado around this time formed in this area and no one
knew about it until they discovered it a couple years later. So this likely happened on November
17, 2022 which matches up with the scar disappearing in 2021. Well now I was actually thinking at the
beginning this could be you know a dust devil. It was in the middle of a desert. Dust devils occur
in deserts. The sun you know from the convection and the rising heat and the sand and dust devils
can be pretty big. So I thought maybe this was a dust devil but it turns out that this would be a
pretty massive dust devil and like I said they had that weather event on November 17, 2022. So it
probably is a legitimate tornado. Now the researchers concluded that the strength of this tornado could
have been around an F2 or an F3 which is a violent dangerous tornado. I mean an F3 tornado that's
that's some serious stuff. That's a legitimate supercell serious Kansas tornado right there.
In Australia though that's what's crazy. So there you have it that is the uh the great lost
Australian tornado of 2022. So uh here's the thing though that sticks out like a sore thumb.
So I feel look at this see I'm already seeing look at this what no I'm already I'm thinking that
we could maybe see if we can find any other strange anomalies. So what I'm gonna do is I'm
gonna go back I'm gonna go back to like 2007 okay 2007 um let's zoom in a little bit more.
Okay what is this? Do you see this? Look at this. So if we turn this off there's nothing that
yo that's the that's like right next to the tornado path. Do you see that? Okay there's
what is this? Yo that's so bright what okay okay oh my gosh it wasn't there in 2003. I don't even
know what this is but this is this is right next to it. Now I'm starting to think is this something
different? Look oh my gosh sometime between in between 2004 and sometime in 2005 something
happened right here. What is what is this? Oh my gosh that is not a tornado. What on earth?
I'm so confused right now. Why does it look like splattered paint? Is it like some sort of flooding?
You know what I mean? Why is it so pretty? Look at that. Wow what seriously what is that?
It kind of it disappears over time. That's so weird. What's crazy is how close it is
to the uh the great 2022 Australian tornado because look look at that it's right there.
It's like so close to it. That's crazy dude. I don't know what that is. If you know what that
is let me know in the comments. I'm thinking it's no it wouldn't be some sort of flooding.
Okay we're gonna see if we can find some more tornadoes. This could be a little tornado alley.
The Australian secret tornado alley. We're gonna do the top secret soil studios technique
where I just go through every year and see if something pops up. I'm gonna scan.
Scanning. Scanning. Scanning. Scanning. Yo what is that?
What is that? Yo another ancient tornado perhaps. Okay that dude dude this is the
lost Australian tornado alley. Guys if you build a house out here and you are a storm chaser you
can maybe see a tornado once a decade. Holy cow that over time it begins to fade and it fades
away and I can still barely see it. This is crazy. I always look in wood in the woods when I'm looking
for tornadoes but apparently you don't need to look in the woods. You can look. Apparently in
1988 there was some sort of event. Okay let's keep doing it see if we can find another one.
Scanning. Scanning. What are these lines? Some sort of ge- some sort of geological.
Wait holy cow. Yo massive. No I don't think that's a tornado. I think that's like some sort of.
What is that though for real? Wait. No. What are those lines though that pop up? Like lines
massive lines just randomly pop up. What is this? That can't be a tornado path. Well I don't know if
we're going to discover any more tornadoes in the lost Australian tornado alley but
guys it just it goes to show that the world planet earth is massive and you know there's
places that people don't ever go and secret things and interesting and cool things often happen in
those areas and uh if you're ever bored get on google earth and start looking for lines in the
sand. Isn't that like a song or something? Anyway that concludes today's video. Very interesting
situation in Australia. Very cool. Thank you so much for watching. By the way this video was kind
of just a chill video that I wanted to make real quick. A little bit of a tornado news. A little
earth science news video. So uh not a typical tornado video but thank you so much for watching
and we'll see you next time.
