You ready Rico? You want to come have a bath? Come on. He's gonna have a bath too. Good job. There you go. Both of you guys need a bath. Stinky boys. What are you doing? You're playing with them? There you go. Just a minute. Temperature. I use lukewarm water in the winter time. There you go. I know a lot of people were asking me um the tray that I had and I think I just grabbed that from the dollar store. It's just like a food tray and it just worked perfectly because the measurements fit over the sink. You want a little bit of spritzing with that? What I do is I just use a little bit of light spritzing and he likes it. There you go. This is just one way that Rico takes a bath. He likes it in the shower too. Sometimes he'll dunk his head in the food bowl. So what I'll do is I'll just give him this one here or in the water bowl. Sorry. Gotta wait till it fills up. Sorry. There you go. And then he'll just use that in there. Are you having fun? He loves the water. I know some birds people have said that their birds don't like water. I mean it took time right? You got to get them used to it. I find just having the water running or vacuum sometimes certain noises. A little bit more misting. Good. You showing off your beautiful wings. Yeah. A little bit more misting. So with the misting I just use a water bottle and I have it on the lightest setting mist and I try to avoid his eyes and just helps him get on his back and whatnot. Yeah just play in there. Sometimes fly back and forth. I find with the water running it just helps entice birds to go in there so and he likes playing with it. It's not like I do it every day all day. You can buy little bathtubs actually where the water does run. It's like battery operated. I tried it. It's a bit too small for him but it is cute for smaller birds. I'll maybe post one to show you guys that it's cute. You almost all done? Finish? He does make a mess. I gotta clean everything off after but he's happy. You finish? You done or you coming back? That's a little lamp. A light. Nice shot that we have up there. It's just like a heat a uv lamp that I put on especially in the winter. I'll turn it on after. Just helps keep them like sunlight especially on all clouds. Okay you finish? You just got to change the bulb and then that's how it looks. I'll show you guys from a distance. You don't want too close. Some people put it over their cage. I like it here just because when he has a bath like I said he goes there. You not done? Okay I'll let you finish. A little bit more spritzing. He'll let me know when he's finished. He'll jump out and go on his little perch. I do find it's really great to either when they're hormonal it does give them a quiet time because it takes a lot out of them and they rest and preen. It's also great for when they're molting just to soften up the pin feathers that are growing in. He likes it all year round. I try not to overdo it in the winter because it's cold. In the summer it's nice when he has one. I'll spritz him outside in the fresh air and sunshine. I just make sure it's warm enough and he has a place to rest afterwards where it's like no direct cold breeze and whatnot. That's why I put the sun lamp over there. I don't think I've ever had a bird that likes to spend so much time in the water. You done? He just goes there. Are you finished? Can I turn this off? He'll just make himself comfortable and perch there and that's it. Maybe we'll bring you upstairs after. Sometimes what I'll do too is when I take a shower I'll give him a shower before we go up and just the steam from the shower keeps them warm as well and it's really good for them.
