Coming As A Thief in the Night

The Day of the Lord would come as a Thief in the night but to whom and when would this occur? Some claim the coming of the Lord as a thief is yet to occur. However, 2 Peter 3:10 describes the thief coming of the Lord as in the same manner as the days of Noah and Lot. It occurred in the last days of the Jewish age when the nation was disinherited and cut off from the covenant of Abraham.
