Hi guys, today we're doing another movement that you liked from my reggaeton series. This one
I like because it's stationary, you can easily do it in heels, you can actually do it to
different kinds of music but it works so well with reggaeton. So I'm going to break it down
for you and as a reminder again vote below which number do you want to see next, like which move,
put the number that you see on the screen of the movement that you like and I'm going to check it
out, see what else I can teach you. So you choose the moves that I'm teaching you guys, that's super
cool. All right so we're going to start with the feet planted, we're not going to move the feet at
all, again good move for a crowded dance floor, it's going to be all about the hips and to prep
for this motion we need to know how to do this motion called ticking. What I want you to do
is we just need really a tick side to side, so we're going to go side with the hip,
side, side, side, like that. Okay just shifting weight a little bit towards the hip that you're
popping out to the side, it doesn't have to be anything super precise, you're literally just
moving the hip sideways and staying low the entire time. So knee stay bent and you just bring the hip
out, out. Get used to that motion, we don't do it a lot on my channel, so this is a new one. Now the
second part of this movement, you're going to stay low but now let's pretend we have a string
attached to the hip, we're going to pull on the string, the hip will go up, the leg will straighten
and we'll just do a little up, drop. Okay that's it, this is part two, up, drop. We're not going to be
doing the hand because that's weird but just so you understand where the movement is coming from,
you want to feel that like the crunch here in your torso because you're lifting the hip, okay
and then drop it down to neutral position so your waistband is straight, not crooked. Okay
so we have up, down, just get used to this movement first with the string, without the string,
just feel the hips working. So now connecting both together, we're going to start with side,
side, up, down, that's a complete movement. You're gonna go, knees bent, side, side, just two times,
then straighten the leg, pull the hip even higher, drop. Again, tick, tick, up, down. The lower you are,
the easier it will be to do the last movement because if you already are with the legs almost
straight, the hip is not going to go anywhere, right? So we have to be low, really feel the legs,
feel the quads. Let's try again, side, side, pull, down, side, side, pull, down and one little thing I
notice, I'm doing it so I have to stop, that second tick right here, make sure the hip is not already
up, it's just pushing to the side so that you have that space to lift it higher afterwards.
Side, side, lift, drop. This is how fast it's gonna go, one and two and one and two and.
See, so it doesn't have to be super structured, I don't want you tensing and thinking hard about
the motion itself, doesn't have to be super even on both sides, as long as you're hitting those
four beats. If you need help like moving the hips with those specific motions, check out part one of
the series where I did break down what exercise you should be doing even on like a daily basis
to get your hips ready for movements like that. So my favorite isolation exercise is there,
check it out, let me show you with the music.
We have a lot to choose from so let me know which one you like, put the number down in the comments
and I'll be sure to break it down for you next time. I'll see you guys in my next tutorial, bye!
