Thank you for watching.
Well, we are here at something that's really cool. I'm excited to share with y'all. So let's let's get this vlog started
We're at the meteor center of the world said site site
Yes, the world's largest and most preserved meteor site the first documented official impact on the planet Earth
So for all you people across the world we were talking to earlier. This is something that is worldwide right here
I'm ready to see it you yeah, let's let's see it look at this is what we rode in through
To get out here
so flagstaff
Yes, that big mountains flagstaff. We're gonna be crossing that today in today's vlog
Is that snow that is snow up there what makes me almost wonder you look at how there's a ridge out there
and there's mountains out there and
Well, you can't see it from here, but there's a ridge behind us. It makes me wonder if when that impact happened
I don't know because that's pretty flat. Of course a lot of flat out here
What do you think
Look at the size of that
That is a big impact. I mean how hard you got to hit the earth how much green chili that
I
Forget they're telling me something about like
To put it in perspective how big that is down there
Like you can't really you can't really tell from up here, you know exactly how big that is
But I think it's like two miles across or something
Can you see anything there?
This one says a house sized rock
You're guessing is that rock up there?
Yeah, that was it. So I think that's the size of a house
that gives you kind of a
Reference to how big this thing really is
It is a good view both ways
We're up here that is an impact, dude
You've been watching too much Pixar
Okay, so this is a real piece of meteor Wow, look at that. It is it's ding metal, isn't it? It is metal
look at
My magnetic glasses stick it right to it. That's crazy. So here's the details
We were asking, you know, we were wondering how big the meteor could have been to make a hole that big
Meteor is only 100 foot 150 foot
This is the largest fragment of it
Did that hole you ever touched a meteor hmm. Nope. The answer is yes
Pretty cool. All right. This is pretty cool. Actually, let's let's share this with the people 10 seconds until impact
The meteor in outer space can reach a hundred and fifty eight thousand miles per hour
Ten seconds before impact. It was a hundred miles above the earth. Okay, so it's a mile across not two miles
But look it there's a Statue of Liberty. It's almost 600 550 feet deep set your Liberty just be buried down in there
Race through the solar system towards Earth
The shock of impact spread with the large bloom of debris
It took just 10 seconds and meteor crater was born
Yeah, pretty cool, but I think we need to move on brother we're gonna take that road over that mountain
And
This my friend is one of my favorite places in the world, it's called two guns
It's sick, right? I
know man
I love this place
This is a good spot for a little photo shoot. What do you say? Yeah
Yeah
It's so cool
Just out here in the middle of the desert. Yeah, and I mean you gotta take the time to get off
We're just right there. This is right
That's something that's awesome work, huh?
All right, man this
This is another section. I want to show you here. This is all the ruins
And it's got some it's got some really rich history. So that little road. We just came down to get out here
It's actually old route 66
This was on old route 66 and this was roadside attraction where he had mountain lions
And all kinds of stuff if you look it up on the internet, you can find it
But it's rich and like murder and just really horrible
History, but these ruins are just wicked
So it's been a while since I've actually read up on the history. So excuse me if I'm a little bit off
But I believe
This has been owned by multiple people and everybody who's owned it
Has died has passed away from something murder or or something of the sort. Yeah
I
Couldn't wait to share this with you, man
Suck to be pinned up metal in this heat
so you got
This is what you're trusting
Well, I don't know if those were the mountain lions. That's that's true. That's another animal. This is probably
Yeah, I could see he had all different cages
Wild huh? Yeah, that makes more sense. Now. Look at this gully or ravine or
So I believe that's the original old route 66 bridge
These are all ruins from different roadside things. But the story goes as I understand it that there was a
Group of Indians running from I believe Cowboys
back in the day and
They ran and they hid in a cavern that's in this valley somewhere
And the Cowboys found them and burnt them lit them on fire and they couldn't get out because they were stuck
Yeah, they kind of cornered themselves if you will
And so I think this is like blood river or blood valley or it's got some crazy name
I'll look it up and I'll put it right there. That's what it ended up being here. This is a eerie
Part man, it just makes you stop just takes a little bit to take this all in
Yeah, just a quick note if anybody knows anything about this land, this would be an
iconic
Biker campground rebuilt right off the i-40 right outside of Flagstaff. Man. This is cool
66 for some time now
Absolutely having a good time. What about you? Yeah, it's been a blast
So we're gonna call it a day on today's vlog gonna go ahead and do a sign out
But I'm gonna leave y'all with a little montage of this little area of Route 66 a little town
We happen to be in right now called
Enjoy the montage. We'll see you on tomorrow's vlog Laughlin River Run. Here we come
Oh
