Yeah, I peaked at 12. No, but I remember being 11 and being like,
I have stuff like kind of figured out, dude. Yeah. You got some cool posters there.
Thank you, Calum. So nice to see the three of you again and congratulations on this film.
This is one of the best romantic comedies of the decade for me. I thought it was so
original and fantastic and the three of you were absolutely brilliant in it. So congratulations,
first of all. Thank you. Yes, I love in the film, you know, in the afterlife we go
and I guess we all of a sudden become the age we are the most happiest at. What age do you think
you would want to be at in the afterlife? Maybe it doesn't have to be where you're the most
happiest, but what age do you think you would want to be at? Calum, what would you pick?
I think right now this is this is I'm the happiest I've ever been for so many different reasons. And
I really am enjoying my life and and who I am and where I get to do so. So right now,
I'm yeah, I'm hoping at some time in the future, I guess. I really like aging and I'd like you
really want to be like eight years old. I just would like the opportunity to I would like the
chance. Yeah. And so I I don't know. I think. Yeah, I think sometime in in the future I would
I mean, hopefully my body feels good to be in as well, you know, older. Yeah, that's important
physical health. Miles, what about for you? Where do you think that you and Kelly would be in the
afterlife? Yeah, I'm yeah, I'm very content with every year getting to kind of know Kelly more.
But in a more kind of aloof answer to it, I I've told people that I just remember from being
younger, like ages 11, 13 and 17 were very, very good years. Yeah, I peaked at 12. No,
but I remember being 11. I have stuff like kind of figured out, dude. Yeah. Yeah. Sixth grade
rocked. So mine was fifth grade. Was that the end of elementary school for you?
No. Okay. I was just freaking very cool. Yeah.
I like how Miles is so specific with the ages. 11, 13 and 17. Yes. Yes. I love the specific
answer. Well, of course, I also love the scene where Larry and Luke literally fight it out over
Joan. It was so funny. Callum and Miles. What was it like to choreograph that scene? Did any kind
of happy accidents end up in the film? Take me back to set that day. Well, I remember they had,
as they always do, a stunt coordinator. And I think Callum and I were just like,
just let us do our thing. Wait, that wasn't coordinated? Not really. We knew that we had
to end up on the floor. It was a comedic fight. Wait, what about this whole thing?
What are you comfortable with? I do know judo, so I could really mess you up if I wanted to.
That was it. He didn't say that. He didn't say that. I know karate and eight languages.
There's that comedic line that I love where you say about my hair dye.
That was the only thing we really choreographed. Is that hair dye?
Yeah. I love, I love, I love. Yeah, that hair dye line was so funny. Well,
last quick question for you. I did love the beautiful set designs and the production and
all of the details throughout the film about the world. Like the clown world was discontinued
and no man world didn't have any occupancy. That was the best. That was the best.
You guys were on set. Is there a particular detail you picked up on and how much did being
on set inform you about your characters and the world that they were in? Elizabeth,
what kind of detail on set really kind of helped you inform about where Joan was?
There is something I really loved about what was outside Joan's window and how it would change.
The backdrops that are painted, it made it so clear immediately for her and for the experience
she's having that she is in a completely artificial world. Like she will not see the sky, the sun,
the moon, nature in this world. And I also thought it was like a beautiful homage to films that were
referencing from like screwball comedy, like the heart of that era in the forties and fifties.
And so it felt there was something I loved about it from a romantic point of view
in cinema and then also like the actual practicality of her current situation.
I loved like the candy floss, brutalist combination of it all. It felt quite sickly.
For someone that had lived there for 67 years, I admired Luke's almost his steely determination
to stay in that world. It must've been really difficult. And that's how much that he loved Joan.
Yeah. I mean, David's attention to detail is really extraordinary as well as, you know,
set design and props and everybody. There was all these pamphlets for all the different
eternities. And when you read those, they are pitching you that eternity and it's,
you know, several paragraphs. And then kind of what Lizzie was saying with the backdrops
just reminded me of like some high school theater plays that I'd done and the archive tunnels.
I really loved that. I thought that was just so smart.
The archive tunnels are easily some of the best sequences in the movie. Well,
I would chat with the three of you all day, but I'm so excited for all of my romance girlies
to see eternity. The three of you are always so fun to chat with and thank you so much
for your time today. Thank you. Have a lovely day.
