I Can't Do This Anymore....

Hello. I have some really big news that I haven't, I don't think I've shared online at all. There's some really, really big changes happening and I can't wait to talk to you guys about it. The cats threw up on my blanket so I had to do some laundry and now that my bed is back and situated I feel a lot better. I know some of you are going to think that I am absolutely crazy but this is something that I really want to do and I'm just going to do it because I have my reasons and I will share that with you and I can't wait to get into it but I am starving so I'm going to make some dinner with you guys and then we will get into all the nitty gritty. Coming from someone who loves to cook a nice steak right on the grill I never thought I would be cooking a steak in an air fryer. One thing I hate about my van build is that I don't have an oven and I love to cook so having this air fryer is a big game changer because I don't have a stove. So I'm cooking a steak today in this tasty air fryer and what I really like about this particular air fryer is that it has a dual sensor smart probe that automatically adjusts temperature throughout the process for the best results. It comes with this probe accessory that you insert directly into your meat allowing you to cook the perfect steak every single time. You can cook with temperatures up to 450 degrees fahrenheit which means faster searing. It locks in all of the juices and creates a steakhouse quality crust. I love that it has a non-toxic ceramic coating and that it's safe for enclosed spaces and it's easy to clean and it uses less water which is ideal for rv living. Plus it's pretty compact. I love that it comes with this air fryer cookbook filled with tons of dinner ideas because I love to get creative. So if you're living the rv life and you want a simple low effort meal and you also want to keep up with a healthy high protein eating while on the road this is the perfect solution. Okay let's get into it. First I want to try this steak and see how it came out. Wow I barely put any seasoning on it and it's actually super good. Now that I have a little bit of food in my stomach and I don't feel like I'm going crazy let's get into it. So I have been, this has been weighing on me for a very long time. When I bought this van I converted it within just a handful of months. It was very very rushed and so there's some things that are not quite finished yet and then there are some things that I wish I would have done differently and I feel like that kind of that's always the way it kind of goes and so I have a couple of announcements aside from this one that I will be bringing to you in the next couple of weeks. There are some things in the build that I want to change. So as you guys know I started with the Laveo toilet. I didn't like it and I wanted switching to the Mottiwell toilet and I love the Mottiwell toilet. I'm still 100% happy with that. I'm super super super confident and happy in my decision to go with the Mottiwell toilet. I haven't had any issues with it. It is my absolute favorite toilet that I have ever used. It is so amazing and they even, I did a full video on that and some people talked about like if you have to pee a lot like it's a little inconvenient. They actually have a new like insert that you can like insert into it and it holds your pee and you can pee in it several times and then just dump it I don't think that I'm gonna need that but it is nice to know that I have that option if I feel like over time I'm using too many bags or I just would rather you know use that. That being said there's a few other things that I have come to realize I don't love about this van build. One being my sink. It's already broken once. I have fixed it but I'm not necessarily happy with it and I don't know that I want to keep this sink and the big big announcement I guess or something that I want to share with you guys is I am going to be remodeling this van. I've talked about Ember's seat taking up a lot of space several times because it is so much space here that I feel like is just wasted on a seat and then when we're not driving this space is not usable. Like Ember doesn't sit here. The car seat is a car seat. I can't sit in it. You know Ember doesn't want to hang out in her car seat when she was just hanging out in her car seat on a long drive. So I have made the decision to just go ahead and remodel the van this summer to like exactly not exactly how I want it to be but to my the best of my ability to get it to where I want to be. So I already went ahead and ordered a middle seat for the front and Ember will sit up front with me and she will be in the middle and so that way she is right next to me. I know that if it is too hot because sometimes it does get really hot and I'm it worries me that it doesn't cool down enough back here with the AC so if she's in the front with me however hot or cool I am I know she's just the same and I don't have to worry about if it's too cold back here if it's too hot back here when she doesn't have like an AC blowing on her or a heater blowing on her and so I think that's going to be a really a really big shift in my stress level. It'll give me a lot of peace of mind knowing that she's just right next to me and I don't have to worry about it and then so I will be removing her back seat. I will be selling it and I'm also going to be taking out my closet. The reason I want to take out my closet is because I feel like there's certain things that I want and I can't have both so I'm taking out the closet and taking out this seat and we are swapping them out for a three burner oven stove combo and I'm also going to be adding a little couch back here and among other things so I also might possibly add in a type of shower not a traditional shower it won't have a dedicated room it's a kind of shower that folds away and that will be underneath the bed and I think I'm also going to replace my countertop. It's not that I don't like it I just want to be adding a lot like I'm going to be adding cedar wood accents and I would like I think a butcher block countertop versus this white countertop. The white countertop is fine it does the job but I think I want I would like some there's so much white in here I just personally would like some more character and so I think I'm going to replace the countertop and I'm I'm thinking I might replace the sink as well. So another big issue for me is that I don't have a lot of storage in the kitchen. I only have this one cabinet underneath the sink and it is basically full of my water tanks and my trash can so I don't have any other storage. I don't have a place to put my pots and pans and it's a little chaotic and I kind of paid it so when I do the stove in the small couch area I would like to put some drawers in the underneath the couch and then of course some storage with the stove and then I'm also thinking about putting a kind of a wall here but I'm not sure I might not do that but I also I'm still kind of configuring everything in my mind I think I might put the stove where the closet is and then put an L couch here with lots of storage and then a dedicated section for my cats so their litter box can go in the couch and then also they have their own built-in crates side by side so that when we are on the road they're in there and I don't have to worry about them roaming the van. Halo always poops and pees when we drive like as soon as we go and so I can have her in there with a puppy pad and know that she's not going to get poop and pee everywhere and then my other cat BB sometimes will throw up when when we first start driving and when we are on the road and we're moving around a lot they get used to it and they don't do that but when we haven't been driving all the time they have to like get still get used to it and we haven't been like on the road so I'm gonna have that for them and then a spot where I can like pull out for their food and water that is like a designated spot that I can pull in and out and I don't have to like worry about you know constantly having to worry about putting their water bowl like dumping their water out or putting it in the sink and moving their dog or their food bowl so it doesn't get everywhere and just like have a spot for it like in a little kind of pull out drawer situation I'm also going to be putting uh I'm going to be scooting the bat the bed back a little bit and adding a hard wall there and maybe putting that drop down shower underneath the bed so that I can drop down and have a shower situation if I really need it I can't take ember into like a planet fitness if we shower on the road it has to be a truck stop so we have to go out of our way in order for her to take a shower and while usually it's not an issue if we're ever like dry camping or if we are you know on some blm land out in the middle of nowhere I can't really drive every day or every other day even every few days I mean I could but I wouldn't want to so this allows me to stay in one place for a more extended period of time and not I am also going to be taking down my board up here and I'm going to be adding more overhead shelving all the way across just to have more storage space because I really don't feel like I have enough that means I'm also going to be adding a water tank underneath the bed for just the shower only it will not be for my sink water I don't think I like that I can fill up my sink water anywhere with those jugs and I like that I can make it filtered water which the shower water doesn't matter if it's filtered this water does matter in case I want to drink it so all of that being said I am doing a van remodel not a full one I'm still gonna have the fridge in my this whole setup in the kitchen area is gonna pretty much be the same aside from possibly the sink and the countertop everything else is going to remain the same and I'm keeping all the overhead I'm not changing the walls too much except for what's over here because I don't know what I'm going to do I might add a backsplash for the stove I think that would be really cool and then all of this will be overhead storage so I'm going to be adding some cedar and stuff and then I'll probably add like a shelf in the back for maybe books or just a little over the bed I don't want it to be a full cabinet but maybe just up to the bed and to the back door have a small shelf for extra storage so all of that being said this is all going to be happening at the same time as me working on my land which I haven't announced that yet so I'm going to be telling you guys a little bit more about that in the upcoming in about a week or so so I hope you guys are looking forward to that um there's just so much happening so fast and I'm really excited for this summer and this winter I will be in the van on the road going back up to Oregon in the fall so the van has to be done before that and like I said I'll touch more on the land in a future video but right now I am going to get the van ready to do the renovation once I get Ember's seat I can take this seat out and kind of start um breaking everything down and then I'm going to recycle as much materials as I can as well I'm just really not happy with this current layout it's not comfortable there's nowhere for us to sit outside of the bed and Ember can't climb up on the bed by herself I have to help her every time and so I'm trying to just figure out what the best solution is to make it the most comfortable and homey so that I don't have to feel so constricted and like I feel like there's just so much wasted space and it bothers me so much so if you guys have any ideas feel free to comment them down below layout wise and shower wise maybe even um I'm looking forward to hearing from you and I hope that you guys are looking forward to this remodel and as always thank you guys so much for watching and I will see you guys on the next video which will come with a really big announcement I don't know how people are gonna feel about it but it's my life and I gotta live it so I'll see you guys then
