I think the reason people are protective of Gwen or are protective of Mary Jane or Peter's
love interest is they, those relationships did feel real and did feel grounded and so
it's not like we're trying to create something out of some fantastical comic.
It was, I think it was a pretty, you know, earth-based comic.
Andrew is probably the most fluid person I've ever worked with.
He really ebbs and flows and moves with you and changes based on, and it's funny because
he does so much preparation.
He's incredibly prepared.
He's, I mean, he's thought out every moment of the movie countless times and every element
of Peter's journey and it's really incredible.
I mean, he just completely knows what's going on but he's still so adaptable and so intuitive
in a way.
And so it's just been like a godsend.
Probably the biggest reason why I wanted to do the movie was camera testing with him and
seeing that it was going to be, it was kind of a no-brainer after that because he's just,
he's just, he's incredible.
He's a really incredible actor.
To have a father that's the police chief is, you know, it's a pretty, that's a life.
That's a, that's kind of a, you know, she's the oldest and that, you know, and therefore
bears a responsibility to her father and you kind of, I mean, I think she's responsible
because of that experience of having a father like that but I think that he's incredibly
loving and protective of her and so that whole element and how complicated that is to be
with who is considered the biggest villain in New York City and have your father be so
against him is just, you know, that's a huge conflict.
