Historical Evidence All Bible Prophecy Fulfilled

"...and that from among them there should arise a certain king that should overcome our nation and their laws, and should take away our political government, and should spoil the temple, and forbid the sacrifices to be offered for three years' time." And indeed it so came to pass, that our nation suffered these things under Antiochus Epiphanes, according to Daniel's vision, and what he wrote many years before they came to pass. In the very same manner Daniel also wrote concerning the Roman government, and that our country should be made desolate by them. All these things did this man leave in writing, as God had showed them to him, insomuch that such as read his prophecies, and see how they have been fulfilled, would wonder at the honor wherewith God honored Daniel." Jos. Ant. X.XI.7

The prophecies of Daniel regarding the DOJ by Rome are inseparably tied to the abomination of desolation, the great tribulation and the resurrection, Dan. 9, 12:1-3, Matt. 24:15-21. Josephus, a Jew may not have been informed about the particular details Jesus and the Apostles discussed about these prophecies. From all indications of the N.T., Jews were not interested nor did they believe them.

However, to state that all things Daniel left in writing were fulfilled in the Roman invasion is precisely the same words used by Christ in Matt. 24:1-34 and Lk. 21:20-32.

Secondly, it was reasonably expected by Christians that the day of the Lord, i.e. resurrection would occur in their life time (2 Thess 2:1-8) with only minor adjustments in time which Paul corrected with two signs, one of which was directly "temple" related.

Thirdly, Jesus made it very clear that when the Jews were cast out, the patriarchs and prophets would be raised out of hades into the kingdom/inheritance. Matt. 8:11-12; Lk. 13:26-28; Matt. 21:41-43; Gal. 4:30.

Finally, so ask for a specific statement based on the reasoning that no interpretation of the statement be given is in my opinion both illogical and self-contradictory. For one to "reject" the testimony of Josephus that all Daniel's prophecies were fulfilled is to "interpret" his words to mean something other than what he said.
