President Donald Trump today signed an executive order to help expand access to retirement savings accounts for Americans without employer-provided plans. The order directs the U.S. Department of the Treasury to launch the TrumpIRA.gov website by January, when eligible low-income workers will receive matching funds from the government.
The shutdown is finally over, as Trump today signed a bill to end a record 75-day partial shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security. Congress also passed a short-term extension of a key foreign surveillance tool hours before it was scheduled to expire on Thursday night.
A proposal to require voter ID in California is now one step closer to going before voters. The newly qualified ballot measure could bring major changes to how ballots are cast and verified in the state.
