Adam, 7 years old, is the cutest headache his parents have! Naughty, impossible to sit quiet for even 5 minutes, disobeying, “beyond teaching” - not even with those beautiful picture story books his parents carefully select for him! Emily and Bill, Adam's parents, need to be away for two weeks, hence they have to get the grandparents to come and look after him. They leave home with worries about how the two could “survive” the weeks. To their surprise, all they hear from their daily “home check-up” phone-calls with the grandparents are praises of the wonderful grandson, and the great times they have together “reading picture books” -- How could that be possible? Talking to Adam, all Emily & Bill hear are broken descriptions in exciting voices from the little guy, about grandma's “magic robe” that turn grandpa into a “Story Grandpa” and pieces of the stories he heard.

“Magic Robe”? What is that? Emily and Bill couldn't wait to return home to find out.
