Gorgeous snowshoe in Powell River- backcountry
Well, we're up on the ridge in between the Big Nuck and the Little Nuck.
It's March the 30th, 2023.
We're just taking advantage of an absolutely fantastic day up here.
If you look behind me right over here, that's the Little Nuckle.
If you look down below here, that's the Big Lake.
Just spin around and you'll see Cairn.
And you'll also see the Big Nuckle.
And then there's Walt Lake.
I don't know if you can see Walt Lake, but you might be able to see Walt Lake down below there.
And then directly behind me is Walt Ridge North, otherwise known as Mission Hill.
That's the one we camped on two weeks ago.
I think two weeks ago today, as a matter of fact.
But what an absolutely fantastic day up here.
Again, it's springtime in the back hills of Powell River.
If you get a day like this, you can't beat the beauty of the place.
It's so nice. Just amazing.
We actually came from that side of the lake, came up the hill over there.
And now we're going to go up the Little Nuckle, which is behind me over here.
And then we're going to go down the other side of the lake after we have our lunch.
And that's about it for now.
There's Cairn down the thing there.
And down the ridge a little bit.
You probably can't see it, but down on the lake there, Bob wrote his name with the quad.
But you probably can't see it.
You might see a little bit of some lines on Beda Lake down there.
It says B-O-B.
I guess he's been practicing his spelling, so he got that right.
But yeah, there's the Big Nuckle.
What a magnificent sight that one is.
She's a beauty.
And Cairn down the ridge here.
And Spookumchuck, Jarvis Inlet over there.
And Walt Ridge.
And there's Mission Hill, the one that I was mentioning that we camped out on a couple weeks ago.
But yeah, we've got a perfect day up here.
There's no wind.
Got to fly the drone around.
Got to have some fun.
There's Diadem over there.
Frida.
And of course, there's so many mountains in the backcountry back here that I could...
Well, even if I knew all their names, it would take forever to name them all.
But yeah, there we go.
So we're going to head down and go see Bob down on the lake.
And then it'll be time to call it a day.
So there you go.
Another trip in the books.
