Kamala Harris Delivers Keynote Speech at 2026 Fisher Shackelford Dinner

Kamala Harris visited Little Rock on Saturday, touring the historic Little Rock Central High School before delivering a keynote address at the Fisher Shackelford Dinner, drawing hundreds and prompting a response from state Republicans.

Harris’ visit marked her first major keynote speech in more than a year, as she addressed Arkansas Democrats at the Wally Allen Ballroom inside the Little Rock Convention Center.

Before the evening event, Harris spent part of the afternoon at Central High School, a landmark of the civil rights movement. During her visit, she met with Elizabeth Eckford, one of the Little Rock Nine who integrated the school in 1957.

“That’s part of our history and part of our present, and it will always be,” Harris said. “America will always be strong in our willingness as the people to fight for our foundational ideas.”
