President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, First Lady Melania Trump, and other Trump officials were evacuated from the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday night after multiple gunshots were heard in the ballroom.

The shooter opened fire inside the Washington Hilton hotel, where Trump was attending dinner, the Associated Press reported, citing a law enforcement official.

Video of the event shows the president being ushered off the stage a few seconds later, along with Melania Trump, as armed guards wearing tactical gear and large rifles appeared on the dais.

Both Trump and Vance were uninjured after the incident, the Associated Press reported, citing a source.

White House Correspondents’ Association President Weija Jiang said a few minutes after the incident that the dinner would resume.

“I know everyone is going to want as many details as possible, and right now we don’t have them,” she said from the stage.
