Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today in the presence of God and before these witnesses
to join this man and this woman in holy matrimony.
Marriage is a sacred covenant, ordained by God, blessed by our Lord Jesus Christ,
and sustained by the Holy Spirit.
It's not merely a contract between two people, but a divine union,
a reflection of Christ's love for his church.
Let us pray.
Our precious Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gift of love.
We thank you for bringing us together on this joyful day.
We ask that your Holy Spirit be present here, surrounding this couple with your peace,
guiding them with your wisdom, and sealing their promises with your everlasting grace.
May this marriage glorify you in all things.
In Jesus' name, amen.
Today we stand before God and these witnesses to declare your intention to enter into marriage.
Do you come free, without reservation, to give yourselves to one another in marriage,
where you love, comfort, honor, and protect one another,
and be faithful to one another as long as you both shall live.
God tells us in 1 Corinthians 13, the fourth period,
Love is patient. Love is kind.
It does not envy. It does not boast.
It is not proud. It always protects.
Always trusts. Always hopes. Always perseveres.
Love never fails.
He also tells us in Ecclesiastes 4, 19-12,
Two are better than one. Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
True love is not merely a feeling. It is a daily choice.
It is patience in difficulty, kindness in frustration, forgiveness in weakness, and hope in every season.
When Christ is the third strand in your marriage,
your bond becomes stronger than anything that could seek to divide you.
Marriage is a journey, not always easy, but always worth it when rooted in Christ.
You will have seasons of joy and seasons of trial,
and moments of abundance and moments of need.
Remember this day. Remember the promises you make.
Choose each other again and again.
Pray together. Laugh together.
Forgive quickly.
Speak life over one another.
Let your home be a place where faith grows, grace abounds, and love reflects the heart.
I praise you that you have to be my wife.
Before God and these witnesses,
I promise to love you as Christ loved me,
to cherish and honor you,
to walk beside you in faith,
for better or for worse,
for richer or poorer,
in sickness and in health,
to forgive as I have been forgiven,
and to remain faithful to you
as long as we both shall live.
I thank you, Grayson, to be my husband.
Before God and these witnesses,
I promise to love you as Christ loves the church,
to cherish and honor you,
to walk beside you in faith,
for better or for worse,
for richer or poorer,
in sickness and in health,
to forgive as I have been forgiven,
and to remain faithful to you
as long as we both shall live.
The wedding ring is a symbol of eternity,
a circle without end.
It represents unending love
and the covenant you make today before God.
With this ring,
I give you my heart.
I promise to be faithful,
to love you always,
and to honor the covenant
we have made before God.
With this ring,
I give you my heart.
I promise to be faithful,
to always love you,
to honor the covenant
we have made before God.
Let us pray.
Father God,
we pray that you bless this marriage order.
May their love be rooted and grounded in you.
Give them patience in trials,
joy in abundance,
strength in hardship,
and humility in success.
May their home be filled with laughter,
their table with gratitude,
their hearts with forgiveness,
and their lives with purpose.
Lord, may they always seek you first,
trusting that when you are at the center,
all things fall into place.
In Jesus' precious name,
Amen.
By the authority vested in me
by the Commonwealth of Virginia,
I now pronounce you husband and wife.
What God has joined together,
let no one separate.
It is my great joy and honor
to present to you for the very first time,
Mr. and Mrs. Wallace.
I saw the light on your touch
and the flame in your eyes.
I used to have a wild side.
They said country my wide.
I'd burn those beer joints down.
That's all changed now.
You turned my life around.
I saw the light.
I've been baptized
by the fire in your touch
and the flame in your eyes.
I'm born to love again.
I'm a brand new man.
Come and leave them.
Oh, I'd brag about my freedom.
How no one could tie me down.
Then I met you.
Now my heart beats true.
Baby, you and me together
feels more like forever
than anything I've ever known.
We're right on track.
I ain't looking back.
I saw the light.
I've been baptized
by the fire in your touch
and the flame in your eyes.
I'm born to love again.
I'm a brand new man.
I saw the light.
I've been baptized
by the fire in your touch
and the flame in your eyes.
Grayson is one of the most loyal, genuine, and dependable people I've known.
He's the kind of friend you can count on no matter what, and that is one of the many reasons it has been so great to walk in front of someone like him.
Hannah, when you first came into Grayson's life, I thought you didn't like him.
But as time went on, I think Grayson convinced you that I was alright.
It didn't take long to see how happy you made Grayson.
Hannah, you are kind, beautiful, and such a perfect match for Grayson.
The way you two care for each other is easy to see, and it is clear that you bring out the very best in one another.
Grayson, I'm proud of the man you are, and Hannah, I'm so glad you found someone that loves him as good as you do.
Seeing the two of you together makes it easy for all of us to believe in love, partnership, and the future you are building together.
So please raise your glass with me to Grayson and Hannah, and to a lifetime of love, laughter, and happiness for the both.
Here's to Mr. and Mrs. Walker. Cheers.
Alright, we're going to pass that mic over.
Well, I'm going to start from my intro, just so you guys know.
My name is Koba. I'm Hannah's maid of honor and her best friend.
I'm a back-and-middle school warrior, all I know is sitting on the bed and doing great.
You know, really building a strong athletic foundation from the sidelines.
And honestly, when I first met her, I thought she was a little creepy.
Between her funny faces and jokes, and her big personality, that's exactly what made me love her.
Over the years, we've grown up side-by-side, we've been through hardships together,
shared endless laughs, and had more nights than I can count.
Between us, we'll probably attempt to get tonight and still not get right.
Hannah, I've had the privilege of watching you grow.
You're such a strong, beautiful, and incredible woman, and I have no doubt that you're going to be the MVP's client.
Grayson, I was going to say good luck, but honestly, you don't need it.
You've already proven how much you love Hannah.
Thank you for caring for her the way that you do, for your patience, and for being someone she can always count on.
That means everything to me as her best friend.
To both of you, I wish you a lifetime filled with love, happiness, and everything you've ever dreamed of.
Keep growing together, supporting each other, and never stop choosing one another.
I love you both so much.
And Hannah, no, you don't want your honeymoon.
I'm kidding.
But seriously, I hope this is just the beginning of the most amazing life together.
Cheers to the happy couple.
Damn.
Damn, we're working it off.
