Today's video is perfect for beginners,
or if you're looking for a go-to simple makeup look
that takes no time, that you can wear every single day,
this video is for you.
Let's dive in.
Okay, let's go ahead and get started.
I'm gonna be using all of Angie's brushes
from her seven-piece collection
because I have a very exciting announcement
to share with you guys today and today only.
Okay, March 25th.
If you're watching this on March 25th, the day it goes live,
you are in luck because this entire set is 50% off
at Ulta 21 Days of Beauty, you guys.
And I'm so excited about it
because you guys got the attention of Ulta 21 Days of Beauty
during our A506 that was on sale a couple weeks ago.
So much, we blew it out of the water that they came to us
and said, we wanna give you guys another day.
And so we're doing Angie's seven-piece.
It's 50% off today.
I'm gonna tag in YouTube Shopping at Ulta, grab it.
If you're watching this video on Thursday or on Friday,
do not fear because on Friday,
we're bringing back both deals,
the Angie seven-piece set and the Angie A506 for 50% off.
So if you didn't catch this on Wednesday when it goes live,
but you're watching it before the end of Friday, March 27th,
you can grab both of those deals on Ulta 21 Days of Beauty.
Okay, let's go ahead and pop right into foundation.
Now, the foundation that I chose for this video
is without a doubt, the Jane Arundel Pure Pressed Base.
I love this foundation and I specifically chose it
because it's a very easy beginner-friendly foundation.
But even outside of that, it's just a beautiful foundation.
It's got an SPF of 20, so you get additional SPF benefits.
It's a mineral-based SPF.
It is so easy to apply and so quick to apply.
And it looks beautiful.
This does not look like your typical powder foundations.
So even though I'm 43 years old,
I think this looks gorgeous on my skin
and I will wear this for many, many years to come.
Jane Arundel herself, I know loves and wears this foundation
so it is very mature skin friendly.
It's just beautiful.
It doesn't have talc in it.
So talc is the ingredient
that can have a really flat, matte, dry look.
And this just has a very more skin-like finish.
It also has light reflective qualities to it,
which is gonna add more to that natural finish.
So I'm going in with the A507.
This is the powder brush
in the Angie Hot and Flashy 7-piece set.
You can use this everything for powder,
for bronzer, for blush, for powder foundation.
So this set is really great for beginners
because you do have pretty multi-purpose brushes in here.
You do have quite a few eye brushes.
We're not gonna be using them all in today's video,
but I will show you because again,
the context of this video is just very beginner-friendly.
Very simple, quick, easy makeup.
Now you notice I'm really kind of layering this foundation.
This foundation is very buildable.
So you can dust it and get a light coverage,
or you can pack it on and get more coverage,
which is what I'm going for.
Oh, so good.
Okay, I think we are about where I'd like it to be.
It looks so good.
Okay, look at that.
So, so good.
So for concealer, we're gonna be using
the RMS Revitalize Hydra Concealer.
This is a really great hydrating concealer.
It's great for mature skin.
It's great for dry skin.
It has a little brush applicator.
And I love this.
It's because it's just very easy to blend out.
So I think this was a great option for beginners.
But of course, use your favorite concealer.
There are so many wonderful options on the market.
I also love if you want a good affordable option,
the Neutrogena Radiant Cream Concealer.
That one is really nice.
Or the Maybelline Age Rewind is also very nice.
I'm gonna go in with the A506 brush to blend this out.
And what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna start by just tapping
and spreading the product from each corner
so that they meet.
That way I get coverage completely underneath the eye.
And then I'm gonna go to the other side, do the same thing.
I'm not completely blending it out right now
because I'm allowing it to dry down a little bit.
You guys know the deal.
Allowing it to slightly self-set and dry down
is just gonna help the overall application.
You'll get the most coverage.
So I kind of like to ping pong,
go back and forth, back and forth between each side.
And with this brush, you really just need to tap.
I would recommend looking up
so that you stretch that skin a little bit.
We all have little fine lines underneath the eyes.
It's part of being a human being and having expression
and moving your face, moving your eyes.
It's just part of being a human being.
It doesn't matter about your age.
Now, I will say every concealer will crease
if you apply too much of it, if you don't set it.
Now, some are more prone to crease than others
because of the formulation.
This one's a great one.
I wouldn't say that this is really prone to crease,
but you really want to pay attention
to how you're applying the product to prevent creasing.
And stretching the skin like that
and really getting in every little crevice is gonna help.
And avoid over-applying.
So this is where you wanna take your time.
Perfect, okay, lovely.
Now, I am gonna go in and just kind of set that area
with a little bit of powder.
And I'm actually just gonna take this eyeshadow brush
from the Angie Had a Flashy Collection.
It's the A503.
It's just a large kind of crease brush.
And I'm gonna take a little bit of the Jane Iredell powder
and I'm just gonna tap it underneath to kind of set that.
You can also use a loose powder
if you want something a little bit more fine.
I do not find that this is too heavy
for underneath the eyes, though.
So I'm just applying a little bit of that.
Because this is a powder foundation,
I'm not gonna go set with powder
like I typically do with a liquid foundation.
So that's why I'm just using this to set underneath the eyes.
Okay, let's talk about brows.
Now, this is a little bit challenging for me
because I have a two-step brow process,
but I wanna be realistic for my beginners.
And if you're just starting in makeup,
you know, I'm not gonna send you to the store
to buy two-brow products.
That might be a little bit excessive.
So what I would do is I would evaluate your needs, right?
Everyone has different needs when it comes to their brows.
I have pretty sparse brows.
You can see that there's areas
that I need to fill in to shape.
And I also, they're sparse,
so there's not a lot of volume there.
So I like to use a pencil to create that shape
a fine micro-tip pencil.
Then I like to go in with a brow wax gel
to create that volume.
Now, if I had to pick one brow product,
one brow product,
I actually wouldn't pick either of the two that I use.
Together, these two are the perfect combination for me,
but without the other,
like one without the other just doesn't do it.
It's not enough.
So I actually, for the sake of this video for myself,
I'm switching over to the Goof Proof Brow Pencil.
So what is the difference between this brow pencil
and the one that I always use?
So the one that I always use,
the Precisely My Brow Pencil is a micro-tip.
Do you see that?
It's a very small little tip on the pencil.
So it creates very small hair-like strokes, right?
Which is great for creating shape.
This one, this is the Goof Proof Brow Pencil.
And I think that's a great name for this
because it really is kind of goof proof.
You can see that this pencil
has more of a thicker triangular shape.
It has more of like a slightly waxy consistency to it
where this one, the other one does not.
So because I'm not using a brow gel
and I am just using one product,
I want something that is gonna create the shape,
hence the pencil,
but I also want something with a little bit of a texture
that's gonna tame the brows.
And this is it.
This gives the look of like a filled in brow
with also a little bit of powder.
It just gives an overall kind of soft looking brow.
So this is what I would recommend
if you have brows like me.
But again, you might have great shape to your brows
and you might not need a pencil to fill in the shape,
but you might need a brow gel to tame them.
So this is definitely more of a personalized approach.
Look in the mirror and figure out what you need
and then find the best product to fit that gap.
So I'm just gonna go in and slightly kind of draw
and shape my shape.
I have very light pressure on here
because I'm not using a brow gel.
A brow gel, the benefit of a brow gel is
one, it'll hold the brows in place and tame them,
but it also softens the brow.
So if you over line them
or you fill them in a little too harsh,
a brow gel is kind of like a great softener.
It's a little bit of a corrector.
And since I'm not using that,
I wanna make sure that I'm not putting too much pressure.
That way I don't have too harsh of a brow.
Okay, so we have concealer,
we have foundation and we have brows on.
Now it's time to add some dimension, warm up the face.
So I am gonna use a bronzer and a blush
and I'm gonna work with powder products
and products that are really buildable,
meaning they layer on at first very sheer,
but then you can build them up if you want more color.
So there is versatility,
but I recommend looking for something sheer
and buildable for beginners.
Now I'm gonna use these new bronzers from Say Beauty.
These are fantastic, I love them.
These are the Super Suede Radiant Baked Bronzers.
And what I really love about these
is they're so forgiving and they're so easy to work with
because it's really difficult to over apply these
unless you're intentionally trying to over apply them.
They have a very silky, sheer like texture.
Actually, I'm gonna stick to the Angie Houghton Flash.
I was gonna grab the 104,
but I'm gonna go in with the A507.
This is the same brush that we used
to apply the powder foundation.
And I'm gonna go in and just kind of load the brush up.
This is All Moffy, which is the light to medium.
And I'm just going to kind of add a little bit of warmth
right here on the cheekbones,
sweep it into the hair.
This is a great brush for beginners
because it's just nice and large and fluffy,
meaning it's not gonna pick up too much product
and apply too much product.
It's pretty goof proof.
Look at how pretty that is, such a good color.
These do run a little bit darker than you might assume.
So I actually like to use the Fair to Light shade a lot too.
This is a little bit deeper than the one I normally use.
It works, but just know that they run slightly darker.
And then I do like to take a little bit of bronzer
on my nose, just so everything's very cohesive
and natural looking.
Next, we're gonna go in with a blush
and I'm gonna use the Revy Beauty,
the Endless Diffusion Everyday Baked Blush.
And this is the shade Daydream.
It's my favorite shade.
It's a really beautiful peachy pink.
These are baked, they're so beautiful.
They have the perfect amount of pigment that's buildable.
And they also have the most beautiful,
like soft, reflective, radiant pearl to them.
It is so pretty.
You can really just, I mean, look at that.
It's just perfect.
They apply beautifully with every brush.
And I'm gonna keep it a little bit light.
Okay, so we have some color.
And then I'm just gonna run my brush
in the center of the face.
Again, to just make everything kind of pull together.
Perfect, very soft, very pretty.
Okay, let's move on to eyes.
Now, for eyes, for this look,
I did wanna give you an option to have
some shadow and some color on the eyes.
Of course, we can totally skip it all,
just do a little mascara, call it a day.
But I did wanna give you some options
if you wanna do some eyeshadow, but it's very easy.
So I highly recommend using Longwear Cream Shadow Sticks
for eyeshadow for beginners.
I actually love to use these everyday myself.
They're just quick and easy to apply.
You don't have to worry about them fading
or creasing throughout the day.
They're easy and they're beautiful.
So it's like, why not use them?
This is from Bobbi Brown,
and this is the shade Nude Beach.
This is just a nice, pretty, soft, neutral matte shade.
And I'm just gonna apply this all over the eyelid.
I'm not too concerned with getting it perfect.
I'm just kind of really slapping it on there.
For lack of better words,
we're just gonna slap it on the eye.
You do wanna work quickly though,
because these are really creamy.
They give you time to work with them,
but once they dry down and set, they don't move.
So next I'm going in with the flat eyeshadow brush
from the Anjian Flashy set.
This is the A501.
And I'm just blending this out real quickly
before it has time to dry down, okay?
So I'm just kind of running it over.
If you feel like you over applied, just use your finger
and you can kind of remove any excess.
Now I am gonna give that a second to set, okay?
And while that is setting,
I'm gonna go in and I'm gonna grab the A502
from the Anjian Hot and Flashy set.
And I'm just gonna go into the Powder Foundation
from Jane Arundel.
And we're gonna take a little bit of this
and just kind of sweep this underneath the brow.
This is just gonna softly,
just kind of fine tune and finish off underneath the brow.
It's also going to sheer out the crease
of this cream shadow a little bit.
Kind of create a nice blurred line there.
Then I'm gonna go in with my bronzer.
I'm gonna take that same bronzer that I used
and I'm gonna go in with the large crease brush.
Remember we used this one earlier to set underneath the eyes.
I'm gonna go in with this, pick up a little bit of bronzer
and we're just going to sweep this
on top of the cream shadow.
Really focusing the crease,
but it's totally okay if this like,
you know, kind of blends out onto the lid.
What we're doing here is we're creating a little dimension
and just finishing off that cream shadow
so that it looks, they're just more dimensions,
more defined, the eye shape is more defined.
This is an optional step.
It's a subtle difference that it makes,
but I think it's also very impactful.
Now if you want, you can take an eyeshadow brush.
I'm gonna use the smallest little crease brush
from the Angie Outt and Flashy set
and I'm gonna load this up
and we're just gonna go right on the lower lash line too.
And I'm using the bronzer again.
This is just gonna give a little definition,
but you can see this is not like an eyeliner, right?
It's not real harsh like an eyeliner.
It's very soft, perfect.
Okay, last we're gonna give a little definition
to the lashes.
I'm going in with the Revy Beauty eyeliner
in the shade Umber.
I think these are great for beginners
because they are very, very just spreadable, creamy.
I'm gonna do a nice thin little line.
These get a really beautiful sharp edge on them
so you can get a fine tip and have a lot of control.
Don't obsess or worry about it being a little messy.
These are creamy so you have time to work with them, okay?
So while that is sitting on the eye,
I'm gonna go in with the last brush
from the Angie Outt and Flashy collection.
This is the A505.
And I'm actually using all the brushes, you guys.
I didn't think I was, but I used every single one of them.
And I'm gonna take the tip of this
and I'm just going to soften that liner a bit.
Just kind of work it into the lashes, softening it up.
You wanna work quickly before it dries down
because remember, once these dry,
just like the cream shadow sticks,
they're designed to stay in place and wear all day,
which is exactly what we want.
But you wanna make sure that if you're gonna smudge them
like I'm doing, that you do it before it dries down.
Look at that.
Look at how easy that was.
That liner is so easy to work with.
It's beautiful.
And you can really sheer it out, too.
That's so pretty and that color is gorgeous.
Ah, I love it.
Okay, let's go in and do a little mascara.
I'm going in with my favorite mascara.
This is the Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara.
And I'm just going to coat my lashes.
Look at that.
Ah, this mascara is so good.
I actually feel like this mascara gets even better
with time, like an old tube of this
right before it's time to replace it.
I love how it makes the lashes look.
This one is kind of on the edge.
I can tell it's drying down.
Beautiful.
Oh, that looks so good.
Okay, I love this mascara.
It is so good.
I'm gonna do a tiny bit on the lower lashes.
So let's finish off with the lips.
I'm just blotting my lips
because I had a little bit of lip balm on.
I'm gonna go and line the lips.
And I recommend using a lip liner color
that is slightly deeper than your natural lip color,
unless you have a lot of color to your lips.
I don't have a whole lot of color,
so I'm using a lip liner that's about the same undertone,
just a little bit deeper.
This is Rich Mauve by Makeup by Mario.
And I'm just giving some definition by lining my lips.
But you wanna stick with a shade
that's close to your lip color.
That way, as it fades throughout the day,
it looks natural, you know?
And it doesn't look odd when your lip color fades
and you've got this harsh liner.
And now you can see that I'm kind of
filling the lip in a little bit.
Perfect, okay.
And then for lip color,
instead of doing a lipstick and a gloss,
I'm picking one color that I think
has the best of both worlds.
This is the new Hung Van Gogh Glossy Lip Hues.
And what I love about these is how pigmented these are.
These are like a glossy lip treatment,
high, high shine, but they have a lot of color to them.
And I find the color actually lasts.
Like, it really lasts longer
than typical products like this.
So I'm gonna go in with this shade.
It's a really pretty peachy pink.
You just need a little.
Just squeeze a little bit out first
and then kind of just spread it.
Ah, so good.
I love this applicator.
So I'm just spreading it now.
Mm, so, so good.
Okay, and this is the finished look.
Very light, easy, perfect for every day,
a go-to look that you can throw on.
And probably, you could probably do this
in 10 to 12 minutes, I think.
I mean, obviously this is a little bit longer
because I'm sitting here filming it,
but if I were doing this on myself at home,
I could knock this out in no time.
So I hope you guys found this video helpful.
All the products that I used, of course,
are tagged in YouTube Shopping.
