We Shall See Him As He Is 1 John 3:1-3 is a text about the sons of God being revealed as the true heirs of the kingdom. Futurists believe the text focuses on the resurrection of the physical body from the grave. They ignore the imminence of New Testament eschatology, and particularly in 1 John, in such texts like 1 Jn. 2:18, 19, signaling that the last hour was upon the terminal generation (Matt. 24:34) which was in its last hour. This, they assume and argue in their debates borrowed from Catholicism mainly and repeated without questioning it in the light of Scripture. Israel Only advocates have correctly accepted the imminence of Scripture and claim to be consistent in their application of prophecy. However, they are in conflict over the interpretation and meaning of the texts like 1 John 3 and other texts with clear implications beyond 70AD. Some argue that it is the rapture, perhaps because they must find a way to end what never comes to an end, namely, the kingdom of God on earth, and those who serve and worship God. Therefore, to remove them is convenient and solves the continuation of the kingdom of God and the gospel for those living beyond 70AD.

Others among them believe that there is no resulting kingdom, life or relationship, afterlife or even the continuation of God who is considered as a now defunct ancient tribal deity. This is presented as the most consistent form of the preterist view. If all ended in 70AD, then there's no kingdom, no God, no life in Christ for people who claim to have faith in God, and no afterlife for them when they die.

I believe the interpretation presented here is an accurate and harmonious explanation, exegesis and explanation of the text. However, I remain open to others who may have a different point of view to test those conclusions against what is presented here.
