Boys and girls and welcome back to Graceful where God's love is everywhere. It's me
Pastor Anastasia and I'm so super duper excited that you've joined me today as we learn more about
our best friend Jesus. Today's special feature comes to us from right here in the United States
where my friend Marianette has prepared a beautiful song just for us. Let's listen in.
I have decided to follow Jesus. I have decided to follow Jesus. I have decided to follow Jesus.
Now turning back, now turning back. The world behind me, the cross before me.
The world behind me, the cross before me. The world behind me, the cross before me.
Now turning back, now turning back. Will you decide now to follow Jesus?
Will you decide now to follow Jesus?
No turning back, no turning back
Thanks, Marionette, for that great declaration of who you're following.
Boys and girls, remember, if you want to share your gifts or talents for Jesus,
please ask your parents or guardians to inbox me,
and I'd be happy to share it with our friends.
Well, you may be wondering why I'm dressed like this.
It's because it's Adventurous Sabbath,
and we're so happy at Graceville to be able to celebrate
with over 1.5 million Adventurers around the world.
Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo!
Well, it's Nature Time, and our friend Ryan from Canada is back!
It's always such a treat, you never know who or what we're gonna meet.
And I heard that he had some friends stop by to visit him, too.
Well, let's join him!
Hello, boys and girls, and welcome again to Nature Time at Graceville.
Today, we're gonna be talking about animals that migrate.
Let's tune in.
Canadian geese fly south about twice a year,
and they migrate to avoid the cold.
They use landmarks like rivers, mountains, or coastlines to guide them through.
They have a special gift that allows them to tell the difference
between north, south, east, and west.
Canadian geese can fly an amazing 1,500 miles every day.
The blue wildebeests are found in East Africa,
and their migration is incredible.
Imagine thousands of them crossing the Mara River
to the Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Because there are so many, they can eat 1.5 tons of grass every day.
They have to move almost every month in order to find new grass.
The leverback sea turtle is the largest turtle in the world.
They also migrate.
After they lay their eggs, they swim about 3,700 miles
to find food back to their nesting area.
That's 7,400 miles in total.
In fact, some can swim up to 10,000 miles a year.
They are also impressive divers that can dive more than 3,000 feet deep in the ocean.
Romans 8.39a says,
Yes, I am sure that nothing can separate us from the love God has for us.
Jesus came all the way from heaven to share the love of his Father and encourage us.
Bye, boys and girls. Thanks for tuning in. See you next time.
Just in time to check in on Melissa.
I wonder how her week went.
Well, let's check in on her.
Hey, Pastor Anastasia.
Something crazy is going on in my class.
Crazy? What do you mean?
So George started doing these crazy stuff in class to distract the teacher.
It's so rude.
And the worst part is, now people are either laughing or following him and his craziness.
That's not good.
We all have to choose who we'll allow to influence us or who we'll follow.
The big question is, whose disciple will you be?
Wait a minute.
That reminds me of our theme for this week, which simply says,
I'm following Jesus.
Let me hear Zay say it.
I'm following Jesus.
And our memory verse is found in John 12, verse 26.
And it simply says,
Whoever serves me must follow me.
Let me hear my friend Subhi and Sanyu say it.
Hey, Subhi.
Isn't it good to trust in God and read His scriptures in words?
Yeah, Sanyu, it is good to read God's scriptures in words.
What is today's scripture reading?
Today's scripture reading is,
Whoever serves me must follow me.
John 12, verse 26.
Repeat after me.
Whoever serves me must follow me.
John 12, verse 26.
Great job, everyone!
I am definitely sticking with Jesus.
But what does it mean to be His disciple?
Awesome!
A disciple is someone who accepts the call of Jesus to follow Him
and joins in His great mission to spread the good news.
That's why today's story is about 12 men
Can you guess what today's story is about?
12 men.
Um, 12.
Who left everything.
It's about Jesus' disciples.
That's right, Raylan, Tristan, and Eden.
Today's story is about the disciples.
Jesus did many amazing things like healing the sick,
feeding the poor, and preaching about God's love.
He chose 12 disciples to join Him in sharing the good news.
Excited by everything He had learned,
Andrew decided to follow Jesus.
Not long after, he invited his brother, Peter, to join him.
Philip was so overjoyed that Jesus chose him
that he found Nathaniel under a fig tree.
Even though he was a little unsure,
he eventually decided to follow Jesus too.
From Matthew the tax collector to Judas Iscariot,
one by one, each of the disciples chose to faithfully follow Jesus.
Wowzers!
Forget George's craziness.
I'm following Jesus.
Me too.
And the good news is it's the biggest and best decision we could ever make
because there's no one else worthy of following.
That's why I'm following Jesus.
