Loch Ness Was Not What We Expected

and we're back continuing last week's vlog and we've made it to the north shore the Inverness side of not one of i'm going to say the most famous i'm going to say lock because it's not a lake in scotland they say lock we've made it to the most famous lock i want to say in the world welcome to Loch Ness. What better place to start the vlog at the Nessie Hunters cabin which is like an old motorhome it's an searching for Nessie since 1991 Steve Felton gave up his girlfriend his house and his job does he have any regrets i'm gonna it's right if you're like you absolutely fool Steve i hope you found Nessie mate but look at this 23 miles long over two miles wide and some parts 200 meters deep it's i think the second deepest lock in Scotland and here's a fact it's got more water in Loch Ness than the whole entire lakes in England and Wales put together this is where our journey is going to start today but the plan is we're going to hop down on the west coast of the lake stops on and come back up to the east so there's been over a thousand sightings of Nessie some people think it's a dinosaur that survived extinction some people think it's a giant eel and then most people i think are just mistaking it for floating logs right let the adventure begin we're going to start here we're going to jump back in the car we're going to go to our next spot we've just been driving down with the family from this lovely viewing point here there's a few people having a picnic we're just driving around the lock and we're just like we're just picking out which home is our favorite yeah so we just stopped off at the falls of boys i believe well i don't believe i know there's some waterfall or a waterfall a bit further down look how high up we are now that we've come up there's Loch Ness right down there but we've made some um elevation now someone needed a piggyback how far is the walk back to the waterfall not that long not far no less than 20 minutes this is really nice isn't it so if you think you just come to lock and that's just for the lock there's a lot more no yeah there is yeah i mean to be fair i mean he's done more like you've done the research but i genuinely just thought it was the lock and that was it well leave it off he said it's not what you expected no just don't trip dad maybe if you do come maybe um some appropriate footwear would be who's there whoa you can see all the spray look i don't know if you can clip it up on the camera but see whoa my gosh yeah wow well i was not not expecting Loch Ness to be like as stunning as this i honestly thought it was going to be a lock but waterfalls mountains forestry blocks absolutely stunning if it was on your if it was on your bucket list you've got to put it on there now because this is absolutely natural beauty right there's a level viewing point down there and he's probably bothered going down so i'm going to run down maybe dotty might come with me dot are you going you're going to come down with me you're coming down with me right me and dot's gonna go down dotty wait there are you too cool to wait for me and walk down say again wait wait for an old person i'm 36 you cheeky guest she might be right if the old there's to be fair i've just pulled me half i think here we go i can hear it obviously it's a waterfall you hear it before you see it hi guys all right there it is why is it big what like a dead pig doesn't it there's a dead pig i don't know what we're getting all wet i know so there's a story like well a sighting that i seen on youtube the other day so on the 9th of october which is my birthday and this guy was on his own boat he had the sonar on and he could see this like it literally like the lock and that's like the long neck and like the flippers and like the body but like all the other fish they were tiny sometimes like like the fish are only small but then there was this massive one and said it was about the size of the boat the size of a boat the only way it could be proven is if um no if it jumped out of the water i know there's another thing is about nowadays like it's all like you can just like just ai you just create things and you don't know what to be all these days and it's hard to like believe it was just right down there where there's like no snow and it just seems so green and fresh oh we need to get out of here definitely look at this if it's snow though i wasn't expecting a snowball fight today now snowing you! hi big guy! has mum just went through snow? i'm just going to get you good and proper oh oi! calm her does he? meow oh that was totally unexpected but how fun was that fantastic what the heck snowball fight in scotland at the end of march wow do you know what it'll be april when this video comes out scotland full fully love ya we've come to the other side of the loch nest now so we're heading back up we've got to get into focus for some reason so we're going to go and check things like the castle um it's just on like the edge of the the loch but as we pulled up it was like 17.50 an ad or something i mean 50 quid for the family yeah it would have been like 50 odd quid for us all we're budget travellers guys we're budget travellers but at the same time like i wouldn't even there you go it's a little signpost for it we've seen it from the other side and i mean i wasn't in desperate need to see it to be honest and the kids are yeah the kids are getting um hungry for car and we're going to go into the information center and i'm just going to ask where the statue of nessie is so we're not walking around but i can't imagine it to be in a position where you can't find it but yeah is it where you get the boots from and stuff is that a hotel or something is that up there is it no so that's the 10 minute okay is there anything here to see or not i've just paid for parking as well oh you're joking yeah it looks just like a dinosaur yeah i don't like that one it looks like a dinosaur go on there you go peace if you're watching i hope you're well i hope you are right next there you go how funny is that i know your granddad's scottish old macdougall that was his name was it yeah his first name no his second name and nessie to take home we nessie keep forever something hopefully that the kids will give to their kids and we don't normally buy things like this but we've seen this before yeah we'll have to it's the only nessie we've seen today though this is going to be the last stop of the day we're just at the loch ness clansman hotel and you can eat and sleep and get buy gifts here but we come for one thing only so we had to finish the vlog off with a good old selfie with the nessie oh my goodness we found it guys we found it i can't believe it we found we've seen nessie excuse me fellas excuse me can you get a picture guys and this is it end of this vlog and the end of our scottish series we hope you enjoyed it what a journey the last three weeks has been it's not quite home time for us yet as we're going to sorry about the noise we're going to stay with some friends in dunkel which is another place that we've been before but what a way to finish the vlog loch ness back to england we'll see you in the next vlog i hope you enjoyed it
