Gong Sunpu was a military commander in Hua State in the second year of the reign of the first emperor of the Tang Dynasty. Although, he was just over forty years old, he did not like to manage government affairs. He only liked eating and playing games, and he would also ask the officials who worked for him to go fishing and hunting. Thus, he was involved in the act of killing almost every day.
