DEFYING ALL ODDS FC Machida Zelvia vs Shabab Al Ahli Highlights ACL Elite Finals

Surprise package, Machida Zelvea and free-scoring Shababa Lahli meet for the very first time in the second AFC Champions League Elite Semi-Final at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium. Well, it's been an incredible journey. Three years ago, a second division team, Machida Zelvea, and might be off to a flying start here. 12th minute of play and they take full advantage of some sloppy play at the back from Bogdan Planic. Miss places the pass and Yuki Soma is there to pounce on the opportunity. His fifth goal of the competition, Machida Zelvea with the one goal cushion. Looking for a second here just minutes later. What a stop that is by Hamad Al-Makbali in goal. Eric with the shot from close range on his way to ground takes a deflection and Al-Makbali with a great reaction save to keep Shababa Lahli in the game. Haven't had too many shots at goal, have one now and what a shot it is. Long distance effort from Kawan Santos. They just clips the top of the crossbar as he was looking for the top right corner. Well, Machida Zelvea with a one goal lead at the break as we head into the second period of play. Shababa Lahli looking a lot more dangerous now in this second half. Another long range effort. It's a dipper, just didn't dip quite enough though for Yuri Cezar to trouble Kosaitani in goal. Matias Jaisle watching on to see who his side will face in the final on Saturday. Back to the action now though, next chance for Shababa Lahli and it's the substitute Mohamed Juma only on the pitch for five minutes. What an impact he could have had there but can't find the target. Massive miss from Mohamed Juma there into stoppage time. Guilherme Bala. Guilherme Bala! What a strike! One apiece. That's now four goals and four assists for Guilherme Bala in this year's competition. Beautiful, beautiful shot but the Machida Zelvea bench absolutely furious and this is why. Japanese side's double substitution incomplete before the ball was back in play and so the goal cannot be given according to the rulebook. Incredible scenes here in Jeddah and the referee confirms it. It's no goal so it ends 1-0 and the fairy tale continues after all as Machida Zelvea's first ever Champions League journey takes them all the way to the final where they will play defending champions Al Ahly Saudi for the title on Saturday.
