Hi boys and girls and welcome back to Graceville where God's love is everywhere. It's me
Pastor Anastasia and I'm so super duper excited that you joined me today as we learn more about
our best friend Jesus. Today's special feature comes to us all the way from the Turks and Caicos
where my friends Joanna and Jalissa have prepared a beautiful song just for us. Listen in.
Thanks girls that was amazing. Boys and girls remember if you want to share your gifts
and talents for Jesus please ask your parents or guardians to inbox me and I'd be happy to share
it with our friends. You know that sound. It's nature time and Zay and I are so excited. We
were just getting packed up for another adventure with our friend Rosaria from the Cayman Islands.
I wonder where we're off to today. Well let's go. Hey kids and welcome back to Naked Time.
My name is Rosaria Riley and today we're going to learn about the platypus.
This is the platypus possibly the most confusingly awesome creature on planet earth.
Is it a duck? Is it a beaver? Nope. It's something scientists call a monochrome.
That means it's classified as a mammal but can lay eggs like a bird. Mammals are animals like
lions, bears, cats and dogs and even you and me who can give live birth. They're also able to
produce milk for their babies. Platypus are different. They hatch from eggs. They also
produce milk but oddly it comes out through their skin glands of all places. No wonder the first
scientist who found it felt the animal was constructed as a prank. The book of Romans
chapter 12 verses 6 and 7 say we have different gifts according to the grace given to each of us.
If your gift is prophesying then prophesy in accordance with your faith. If it is serving
then serve. If it is teaching then teach. That's all we have for Naked Time today kids. I'll see
you next time. Bye. What an adventure and we made it back just in time to check in on Melissa.
I wonder how her week's going. Well let's go. Hey Pastor Stacia. Boy am I glad you're here.
What's up? My mom says I'm starting swimming lessons this summer. It's time to face my
fear of water. That's so brave of you. I know but I'm actually pretty scared.
Everyone gets scared sometime Melissa. Thankfully when we look to Jesus he has a way of making us
brave. Wait a minute. That reminds me of our theme for this week which simply says keep your eyes on
Jesus. Let me hear my friend say say it. Keep your eyes on Jesus. And our memory verse is found in
Psalm 56 verse 3 and it simply says when I'm afraid I put my trust in you. Let me hear my
friend say it. When I'm afraid I put my trust in you. Psalm 56 verse 3. Great job everyone.
Thanks Pastor Stacia. I feel better. I don't like saying I'm scared but I am.
Are there any bible stories about people who are scared like me? I think that would help me. One
night while Jesus's friends were out on the lake a scary storm came out of the boat. The giant waves
splashed against their boat as the wind howled. The disciples were terrified they wouldn't make it.
Suddenly they heard a familiar voice. Don't be afraid it's me Jesus. Boldly Peter called out
Lord if it's you let me come to you on the water. Jesus replied come. So Peter stepped out of the
boat and onto the water. With his eyes fixed on Jesus he was able to walk on water. But the moment
he looked away at the big waves he got scared all over again and started to sink. He shouted out
Lord save me. Immediately Jesus grabbed his hand and rescued him. The disciples were all amazed.
When Jesus got into the boat with them the storm completely stopped. Wowzers thanks that's just
what I needed. If Peter could walk on water then I can be brave and learn how to swim this summer.
Now you're tracking Melissa. Worries and fears completely disappear when we keep our eyes on
Jesus.
