And I'm back to the mainland. The weather is fine. It's still quite early and apparently ahead of us there is this amazing road. We're gonna go through the mountain range. It's gonna be high and it's gonna be cold apparently. I'm actually looking forward to this. I want to be cold. I don't know if I'm gonna probably take it back soon but I haven't been cold for so long. Right and there will be a lot of roadblocks ahead of us. I've heard some rumors that between 12 and 2 the road will be accessible and it's nearly 12. So maybe we'll be lucky but even if it's not on the bike normally people let you go. So fingers crossed. So basically the whole region that's on the strike is the banana plantation region. Fighting for their rights. Nothing to do with retirement and new legislation. So I think it's only here. So I don't know if I lost it or Chile's hiding it from me somewhere. Anyhow it's a problem for later. But I can just tell you we're getting high. I mean not high. You know we're getting high. I mean in altitude we're getting higher. Because the temperature is now 26 degrees. Oh my god. I feel so good. Bring it on. I think this is it. This is our village. Oh it's quite crowded. You can only see a car once in like 15 minutes. All right. It's time to cook. I left without breakfast. And my masterpiece is ready. I was allowed to use the kitchen. That was so cool. What an unexpected start of the day. So it's nice to meet other travelers. But honestly I think what these girls are doing is insane. I mean riding a motorcycle is so easy. You just pack up, you go and you do a lot of kilometers per day or you don't like me. But if it doesn't feel right, if I don't feel safe, I start my bike and I go somewhere else. But when you cycle, it's the end of the day. You've done your 70 kilometers and that's it. You have to just stop wherever you are. And then all the paddling, all the workout. I don't think I could ever do it. Actually I think it's better if we do it together. But I respect people who do it so much because that's the bloody effort. We have made it to David. David? David? David? David? David I think. And look at this. Look at this. Such a professional highway. So many cars. It's been a long time since I've been in this environment. So my first stop is a shop with the cameras. I'm hoping I'll be able to buy a drone All right. Wish me luck. Oh, it's still closed. That's okay. We can wait. We have what? 15 minutes to kill. Happy days. I managed to buy a drone. It was actually a good deal because it was just the drone itself without the remote, which is like $750. But if I buy it in a combo, it's $1,250. So I did save a little bit of money here. And now I have to wait for it because they didn't have it installed. So they have to ship it from Panama City and I'll be able to collect it in seven days. Yeah, something like that. But my drone is on its way. All right. So I booked an emplacement here. I'm so organized. Yes. I did yesterday on Airbnb. I think it cost me like $105 for three nights. A bargain. Usually accommodation in big cities is cheaper than in remote areas. And I'm staying here for three nights because I need to do some work. But before we go to the apartment, I want to see the city center, which is not far. It's only two kilometers away from here. I thought David was a little bit bigger. So this is the, I think, the city center because it's called Central Avenue, I think. Something like that. I think this is it. We're in the heart of town. Well, well, well, I think that's it. We've seen it, hey? We can enter the apartment. I'm in. I'm not going to show you my beautiful apartment because I made a mess on arrival. It's raining heavily now. Yes. Well, I did some laundry. So yeah, my stuff is just hanging around everywhere. So it's not very aesthetically correct. But I'm very happy with my apartment because I have a little kitchen so I don't have to leave my room.
