Hi friends, welcome to my channel. Today I'm gonna show you how to crochet these adorable
seahorses. If you're looking for fun and colorful project for summer, this one's just right for you.
Look how cute they are. Now let's get started. I'm gonna use this brand Milk Cotton with 2.5
millimeter crochet hook for the whole project. Now we're gonna start from the head. For that
I'm gonna use this purple yarn. You can use any color you want. First, we're gonna make a magic
ring. After making magic ring, make 8 single crochet into that magic ring. Mark the first
stitch with stitch marker. After making 8 single crochet, pull the yarn tail to close it. And now
we're finished round 1. We're gonna start round 2. So I'm gonna remove the stitch marker and make
1 single crochet at the first stitch. I'm gonna mark the first stitch with stitch marker. So in
round 2, we're gonna make 8 increase. So I'm gonna make another 1 single crochet at the same stitch.
So basically increase means making 2 stitches in 1. So this is 1 increase. We're gonna repeat
like this 7 more times. So at the next stitch, I'm gonna make 2 single crochet. Now we've got
2 increase. We're gonna repeat like this until the end of the row. And now we're finished round 2.
So we're gonna start round 3. I'm gonna remove the stitch marker and make 1 single crochet at
the first stitch. I'm gonna mark the first stitch with stitch marker. So in round 3, we're gonna
make 1 single crochet and 1 increase for 8 times. I've made 1 single crochet here. So I'm gonna
make increase at the next stitch. So this is 1 single crochet and 1 increase for 1 time.
We're gonna repeat like this for 7 more times. So at the next stitch, I'm gonna make 1 single
crochet and increase at the next stitch. Now we've got 2 sets. We're gonna repeat like this until
the end of the row. And now we're finished round 3. We're gonna start round 4. So I'm gonna remove
the stitch marker and make 1 single crochet at the first stitch. Mark the first stitch with
stitch marker. So in round 4, we're gonna make 3 single crochet and 1 increase for 6 times.
I'm gonna make 3 single crochet first. So this is 3 single crochet. After making 3 single crochet,
make increase at the next stitch. So this is 3 single crochet and 1 increase for 1 time.
We're gonna repeat like this for 5 more times. Now we've got 2 sets. We're gonna repeat
like this until the end of the row. Now we're finished round 4. We're gonna start round 5.
So I'm gonna remove the stitch marker and make 1 single crochet at the first stitch.
Mark the first stitch with stitch marker. So from round 5 to round 9, we're just gonna have to make
30 single crochet in each round by making 1 single crochet in each stitch of the round.
And now I finished round 9. So after round 9, we're gonna stop for a while and attach the eyes.
So we're gonna attach the eyes at round 7 and round 8 with 7 stitches apart. So I have placed
the first pin with 10 stitches apart starting from the first stitch. So this is 10 stitches apart
from the first. And for the second pin, I have placed the pin at 13 stitches apart starting
from the last stitch. And then I'm gonna insert the eyes at the pinned place. So for the eyes,
I have used this 8 mm safety eyes. And then I'm gonna insert them at the pinned place.
So I'm gonna remove the first pin and insert the eye right here. And the second eye at the second pin.
And then secure them. And now we have attached both eyes. After attaching the eyes, let's start
next round which is round 10. So in round 10, we're gonna make 3 single crochet and 1 decrease
for 6 times. So I'm gonna make 3 single crochet first. I'm gonna mark the first stitch with
stitch marker. After making 3 single crochet, make decrease at the next 2 stitches. So if you
don't know how to make decrease, I'm gonna show you. Basically decrease means making 2 stitches
into 1. So to make decrease, we're gonna insert the hook into first loop only of the next 2
stitches like this. And then pull the yarn through 2 loops. And pull through another 2 loops. So this
is decrease. So this is 3 single crochet and 1 decrease for 1 time. We're gonna repeat like this
for 5 more times. And now we've got 2 sets. We're gonna repeat like this until the end of the row.
And now we've finished round 10. We're gonna start round 11. So I'm gonna remove the stitch
marker and make 1 single crochet at the first stitch. Mark the first stitch with stitch marker.
So in round 11, we're gonna make 2 single crochet and 1 decrease for 6 times.
So I'm gonna make 2 single crochet first. After making 2 single crochet, make decrease at the
next 2 stitches. So this is 2 single crochet and 1 decrease for 1 time. We're gonna repeat like
this for next 5 times. Now we've finished round 11. We're gonna start round 12. So I'm gonna remove
the stitch marker and make 1 single crochet at the first stitch. So in round 12, we're gonna make
1 single crochet and 1 decrease for 6 times. I've made 1 single crochet here. So I'm gonna make
decrease at the next 2 stitches. So this is 1 single crochet and 1 decrease for 1 time. We're
gonna repeat like this for next 5 times. And now we've finished round 12. We're gonna start round 13.
So I'm gonna remove the stitch marker. So in round 13, we're gonna crochet into front loop only
for the whole round. So instead of inserting the hook into the whole stitch, we're gonna insert
the hook into front loop only like this for the whole round. So I'm gonna make 1 single crochet
at the first stitch. Mark the first stitch with stitch marker. So in round 13, we're gonna make 1
single crochet and 1 increase for 6 times. I've made 1 single crochet here. So I'm gonna make
increase at the next stitch. Insert the hook into front loop only. So this is 1 single crochet
and 1 increase for 1 time. We're gonna repeat like this for 5 more times. And now we've finished
round 13. So after making round 13, we're gonna stop for a while and stuff the head.
I'm gonna remove the stitch marker. After stuffing the head, let's continue next round which is
round 14. So in round 14, we're gonna make 5 single crochet first. So I'm gonna make single crochet
at the first stitch. I'm gonna mark the first stitch with stitch marker. And then I'm gonna make
4 more single crochet. After making 5 single crochet, we're gonna make increase at the next
stitch. After that, we're gonna make 1 single crochet at the next stitch. And here we're
gonna change the color to yellow. You can change any color you want. So instead of pulling the
purple yarn, we're gonna pull through the yellow yarn. And that completes 1 single crochet.
So starting from next stitch, we're gonna make 4 single crochet by making 1 single crochet
in each stitch. So bring along the yarn tails on the hook. And at the 4th stitch, we're gonna
change back the color to purple. So pick up the purple yarn and pull through the yarn. And now
we've finished 4 single crochet. So at the next stitch, we're gonna make increase with purple
yarn. Bring along the yellow yarn on the hook. After making increase, starting from next stitch,
we're gonna make 5 single crochet. I'm gonna leave the yellow yarn here and cut it.
After making 5 single crochet at the last stitch, make increase. Now we've finished round 14.
This is what it looks like. So here, if you don't want to change color, you can just continue with
the original color. The pattern will be the same. So here, I made it with no color change.
So this is what it looks like. The pattern is exactly the same for both. So if you prefer
single color, just continue without color changing. Okay, now let's continue next round, which is
round 15. So I'm gonna remove the stitch marker and make 1 single crochet at the first stitch.
Mark the first stitch with stitch color. So in this round, we're gonna make 7 single crochet
with purple. At the 7th stitch, we're gonna change the color to yellow. So pull through
the yellow yarn. And that completes 7 single crochet. And starting from next stitch, make 6
single crochet with yellow yarn. Bring along the yarn tails on the hook. At the 6th stitch,
change the color back to purple. So pull through the purple yarn. After that, starting from next
stitch, make 8 single crochet with purple yarn. Bring along the yellow yarn tail on the hook.
After 3 stitches, I'm gonna leave the yellow yarn here and cut it. And then continue remaining
stitches. And now we have finished round 15. So we're gonna start round 60. I'm gonna remove the
stitch marker and make 1 single crochet at the first stitch. Mark the first stitch with stitch marker.
So in round 16, we're gonna make 7 single crochet with purple. At the 7th stitch, we're gonna
change the color to yellow. And then at the next stitch, make increase with yellow yarn. Bring along
the yarn tails on the hook. After making increase, make 2 single crochet at the next 2 stitches.
And then make increase at the next stitch. And make 2 single crochet at the next 2 stitches.
And increase at the next stitch. At the 2nd stitch of increase, change the color back to purple.
After that, starting from next stitch, make 7 single crochet with purple yarn. Bring along
the yellow yarn tail on the hook. After 3 stitches, I'm gonna leave the yarn tail here and cut it.
Now we have finished round 16. We're gonna start round 17. So I'm gonna remove the stitch marker
and make 1 single crochet at the first stitch. Mark the first stitch with stitch marker. So in round
17 and round 18, we're gonna make 7 single crochet in purple, 10 single crochet in yellow, and 7
single crochet in purple. So I'm gonna make 7 single crochet. At the 7th stitch, we're gonna
change the color to yellow. Then make 10 single crochet with yellow yarn. At the 10th stitch,
we're gonna change the color back to purple. And then starting from next stitch, make 7 single
crochet. Bring along the yellow yarn tail on the hook. After 3 stitches, I'm gonna leave the
yarn tail here and cut it. Now we have finished round 17. Round 18 is exactly the same with round 17.
So I'm not gonna show you again. I will see you again after making round 18. Now I finished round
18. This is what it looks like. Now we're gonna continue next round, which is round 19. So I'm
gonna remove the stitch marker and make 1 single crochet at the first stitch. Mark the first stitch
with stitch marker. So in round 19, we're gonna make 7 single crochet with purple yarn. And at the
7th stitch, we're gonna change the color to yellow. And then we're gonna make decrease at the next 2
stitches with yellow yarn. Bring along the yarn tails on the hook. After making decrease, make 2
single crochet at the next 2 stitches. And then make decrease again at the next 2 stitches.
And then make 2 single crochet at the next 2 stitches. Then make decrease at the next 2 stitches.
And here we're gonna change the color back to purple. So pull through the purple yarn.
And then starting from next stitch, we're gonna make 7 single crochet with purple yarn.
Bring along the yellow yarn tail on the hook. After 3 stitches, I'm gonna leave the yarn tail
here and cut it. Now we finished round 19. We're gonna start round 20. So I'm gonna remove the
stitch marker and make 1 single crochet at the first stitch. Mark the first stitch with stitch
marker. So in round 20, we're gonna make 7 single crochet with purple yarn. At the 7th stitch,
we're gonna change the color to yellow. After that, we're gonna make decrease at the next 2
stitches. Bring along the yarn tails on the hook. And then make 1 single crochet at the next stitch.
And decrease at the next 2 stitches. And then 1 single crochet at the next stitch.
And here we're gonna change the color back to purple. So pull through the purple yarn.
After that, make decrease at the next 2 stitches with purple yarn. Bring along the yellow yarn
tails on the hook. And then starting from next stitch, make 6 single crochet with purple yarn.
I'm gonna leave the yellow yarn here and cut it. Now we're finished round 20. After round 20,
we're gonna stop for a while and stuff the body. After stuffing, let's continue next round,
which is round 21. So I'm gonna make 1 single crochet at the first stitch.
Mark the first stitch with stitch marker. So in round 21, we're gonna make 1 single crochet and
1 decrease for 6 times. I've made 1 single crochet here, so I'm gonna make decrease at the next 2
stitches. So this is 1 single crochet and 1 decrease for 1 time. We're gonna continue like
this for 5 more times. Starting from here, we don't need to change color anymore. Now we're
finished round 21, so we're gonna continue round 22. I'm gonna remove the stitch marker and make
1 single crochet at the first stitch. Mark the first stitch with stitch marker. So from round 22
to round 24, we're gonna make 12 single crochet in each round by making 1 single crochet in each
stitch of each round. Now we're finished round 24, this is what it looks like. After round 24,
we're gonna stop for a while and stuff the body a little bit more. After stuffing, let's continue
next round, which is round 25. So I'm gonna make 1 single crochet at the first stitch.
Mark the first stitch with stitch marker. So in round 25, we're gonna make 2 single crochet and
1 decrease for 3 times. So I'm gonna make 2 single crochet first. After making 2 single crochet,
make decrease at the next 2 stitches. So this is 2 single crochet and 1 decrease for 1 time.
We're gonna repeat like this for next 2 times. Now we're finished round 25, so I'm gonna remove
the stitch marker and make 1 single crochet at the first stitch to start round 26. Mark the first
stitch with stitch marker. So from round 26 to round 28, we're gonna make 9 single crochet in each
round by making 1 single crochet in each stitch of each round. Now we're finished round 28.
After round 28, we're gonna stop for a while and stuff it a bit. After stuffing, let's continue
next round, which is round 29. So I'm gonna make 1 single crochet at the first stitch.
So in round 29, we're gonna make 1 single crochet and 1 decrease for 3 times. I've made 1 single
crochet here, so I'm gonna make decrease at the next 2 stitches. So this is 1 single crochet and
1 decrease. We're gonna repeat like this 2 more times. And now we're finished round 29, so we're
gonna start round 30. I'm gonna remove the stitch marker and make 1 single crochet at the first
stitch. Mark the first stitch with stitch marker. So from round 30 to round 37, we're gonna make
6 single crochet in each round by making 1 single crochet in each stitch of each round.
So this is round 30. I'm gonna show you again after round 37. So this is what it looks like
after making round 37. So after that, I'm gonna leave long tail for sewing and cut. Then attach
the yarn tail with needle. And then we're gonna insert the needle into front loop only of
the last 6 stitches. Then pull the yarn tail to close it. After that, we're gonna roll it up
and sew it. We're gonna roll up the tail like this. It doesn't have to be exactly the same
with me. If you wanna roll it up a bit more, you can just do it. So here, first I'm gonna roll up
the tip a little bit like this and sew it here. And I'm gonna come up the needle here.
Then roll the tail up. If you're happy with the roll, you can just sew it. Pull the yarn tightly.
Then I'm gonna secure the yarn. To do that, I'm gonna insert the needle into a loop of a stitch
like this. Then insert the needle here and pull the yarn tail tightly. And then hide the remaining
yarn tail. Now I finished the head and body. Now we're gonna make the mouth at round 8 and round 9
in the middle between the eyes. So to start, I'm gonna insert the hook into the middle stitch of
round 9 like this. And pull through the bubble here. Then make chain 1. And at the same stitch
that we made chain 1, insert the hook again and make 1 single crochet. So this is the first
stitch of round 1. I'm gonna mark it with stitch marker. And then we're gonna make second stitch.
For that, we're gonna insert the hook diagonally. We're gonna go up like this. And then
make single crochet. Bring along the yarn tail on the hook. And then we're gonna go up one row
and insert the hook diagonally like this. And make 1 single crochet. Then we're gonna make
4 single crochet. So for that, we're gonna insert the hook horizontally like this.
And make single crochet. I'm gonna leave the yarn tail here. And then for the 3rd stitch,
we're gonna go down 1 row and insert the hook diagonally like this. And make single crochet.
And for final stitch, we're gonna go down 1 row again and insert the hook diagonally.
We are back at the place where we started. And make single crochet. After making 6 single crochet,
make slip stitch with the first stitch. So I'm gonna remove the stitch marker. And insert the
hook into the first stitch. And then make slip stitch. And make chain 1. Now we have finished
round 1. We're gonna start round 2. We're gonna start round 2 from the same stitch that we made
slip stitch. So at the same stitch, I'm gonna make 1 single crochet. I'm gonna mark the first
stitch with stitch marker. And I'm also gonna cut the hidden yarn tail. So in round 2, we're gonna
make 1 single crochet and 1 increase for 3 times. I've made 1 single crochet here. So I'm gonna make
increase at the next stitch. So this is 1 single crochet and 1 increase for 1 time. We're gonna
repeat like this 2 more times. After that, we're gonna make slip stitch with the first stitch. So
we're gonna skip slip stitch and chain 1 here. And make slip stitch with the first stitch.
So I'm gonna remove the stitch marker and insert the hook into the first stitch. And make slip
stitch. Then make chain 1. And now we have finished round 2. We're gonna start round 3.
So we're gonna start round 3 from the same stitch that we made slip stitch. So at the same stitch,
I'm gonna make 1 single crochet and mark the first stitch with stitch marker. So in round 3, we're
just gonna have to make 9 single crochet by making 1 single crochet in each stitch of the round.
And now we have finished round 3. After round 3, catch the yarn and attach the yarn tail with
needle. After that, I'm gonna remove the stitch marker and insert the needle into the first stitch.
And then insert it back at the middle of the last stitch like this. And pull the yarn gently.
And hide the remaining yarn tail. Now we have finished the mouth. Now we're gonna make top fin.
We're gonna make it from round 13 to round 1. Starting from here, we'll go straight to the top
and end here. So to start, I'm gonna insert the hook at round 13. And then pull through this
bright yellow yarn. You can use any color you want. And then make 4 chains. After making 4 chains,
starting from the third chain from the hook, we're gonna make half double crochet. And then at the
next chain, make single crochet. And then insert the hook into next hole and make slip stitch.
And then make chain 1. And we're gonna make next round. So for the next round, we're gonna skip
the slip stitch and chain 1. And make single crochet on single crochet stitch and half double
crochet on half double crochet stitch of the last round. So insert the hook like this,
back loop only. So here I'm gonna insert the hook into single crochet stitch of previous round and
make single crochet. And then insert the hook into half double crochet stitch of previous round
and make half double crochet. After that, make chain 2 and turn. And then make half double crochet
into half double crochet stitch of previous round. Remember to crochet in back loop only.
And make 1 single crochet in 1 single crochet stitch of previous round. And then insert the
hook into next hole and make slip stitch. We're gonna repeat the process until we reach to the top.
Okay now make chain 1 and turn. We're gonna skip slip stitch and chain 1 of previous round
and make single crochet by inserting into the single crochet stitch of previous round
and make half double crochet by inserting the hook into half double crochet stitch of previous round.
And then make chain 2 and turn. So basically if we add the row with half double crochet, we're
make chain 2 and then make half double crochet into half double crochet stitch of previous round
and make single crochet into single crochet stitch of previous round. And then make slip stitch by
inserting the hook into the next row. And for this kind of rows, always make chain 1 and turn.
And then skip slip stitch and chain 1 and insert the hook into single crochet stitch and make 1
single crochet and insert the hook into half double crochet stitch and make half double crochet.
So repeat the pattern until we reach to the top round 1 and I will show you again after making it
to the top. Now I have only one row left so I'm gonna make one last row. I'm gonna make
chain 2 and make half double crochet into half double crochet stitch of previous round
and make 1 single crochet into single crochet stitch of previous round.
After that, insert the hook into next round and make slip stitch and then cut the yarn. I'm gonna
attach the yarn tail with needle to hide the yarn tails. Double tie the two yarn tails and cut.
And now we're finished the top fin. Now we're gonna make side fin. We're gonna make it from
round 16 to round 18 and 4 stitches apart from the yellow color. So I'm gonna use this
bright yellow yarn and insert the hook starting from round 18 and pull through the yellow yarn
then make 5 chains. After making 5 chains, starting from the third chain from the hook, we're gonna
make 1 double crochet, then make half double crochet at the next chain, 1 single crochet at the
last chain and then make slip stitch by inserting the hook into the next row, then make chain 1
and turn. And like we did in the top fin, we're gonna skip slip stitch and chain 1 and insert
the hook into single crochet stitch of previous round. and make single crochet. We're gonna
crochet in back loop only for this round. And insert the hook into half double crochet stitch
of previous round and make half double crochet. And finally insert the hook into double crochet
stitch of previous round and make double crochet and then make chain 2 and turn and then we're
make double crochet by inserting the hook into double crochet stitch of previous round crochet
in back loop only and then make half double crochet onto half double crochet stitch of previous round
and make single crochet onto single crochet stitch of previous round and then insert the hook into
after that catch the yarn now attach the yarn tail with needle we're gonna hide the yarn tails
double tie the two yarn tails and cut now we've finished the side fin we're gonna make the same
for this side this is what it looks like after finishing both sides and finally we're gonna
make waterline around the eye so i'm gonna use this white yarn attach it with needle and make
a knot at the end i'm gonna insert it from the back and come out the needle on top of the eye
and insert at the base of the eye and then hide the remaining yarn tail and cut
now we have finished this seahorse for the one with no color change i'm gonna add a few
dots at the belly so for that i'm gonna use this coral color attach it with needle and make a knot
at the end and we're just gonna place the dots randomly so make the top fin and side fins exactly
the same as previous ones and the pattern is basically the same only the belly part with
color change or without color change this is the only difference now i'm gonna hide the remaining
yarn tail and now we are done so these are the two fashions of seahorses i hope you enjoyed
the tutorial thank you so much for watching my video and subscribe for more cute stuff see you again bye
