Liza Ferschtman joins the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège under the direction of Gergely Madaras for a compelling concert centered on the great Romantic violin repertoire. As soloist, Ferschtman brings both technical precision and expressive depth to Johannes Brahms’ Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 77 — one of the most demanding and symphonically conceived works in the violin literature.
The program is complemented by Ernő Dohnányi’s Ruralia Hungarica, Op. 32, a richly colored and rhythmically vibrant work inspired by Hungarian folk traditions.
