Dive the wild reefs of the Outer Great Barrier Reef, Australia, and discover incredible coral, fish, and reef creatures, including Acropora echinata, moray eels, pink Goniopora, rare wrasse, and vibrant coral colonies living across one of the world’s most diverse reef systems.

Join me (Cam) on two dives as I explore the species thriving in their natural habitat. This mini-documentary captures reef life and what I discover while diving in this incredible part of the Great Barrier Reef.

In this video, I explore over xx different species of reef fish, corals, and marine life found at the Great Barrier Reef. I hope there are a few species you haven’t seen in the wild before, or maybe haven’t even heard of. Filming took place at a single dive site at Flynn Reef.

This footage comes from just two dives, and I’m mainly focusing on SPS corals and surrounding reef species. If you’d like to see more of these reefs, I can make another video focusing on different areas or additional species and the incredible diversity of hard corals found here.

I’ve done my best to correctly identify each species, but there’s always a chance of mistakes. If you notice anything incorrect, feel free to drop a comment — I’m always improving my IDs and I love discussing reef fish, corals, and marine life with other ocean enthusiasts.

There is still a surprising lack of footage showing where many of these reef species actually live and how they thrive in their natural coral reef habitats. Hopefully, this video helps fill that gap and inspires a deeper appreciation for our oceans and the incredible biodiversity found on coral reefs around the world.
