You’re Following the Ball Wrong (This Is Killing Your Net Game)
Most players are taught to follow the ball at the net…but almost everyone overdoes it.
In this video, I break down one of the biggest mistakes I see in doubles. Moving too much and losing positioning. Instead of staying balanced and in control, players chase the ball step for step, especially toward the alley, and it opens up the court.
Here’s the simple fix: for every 3 feet your opponent moves in one direction, you should only move about 1 foot. That small adjustment keeps you centered, cuts off angles, and puts you in a much better position to win the point.
Once you understand this concept, your movement at the net becomes more efficient, more controlled, and way more effective.
If you want to stop overcommitting and start dominating at the net, this is a must-watch.
