We suffered a narrow defeat away to Manchester City as they closed our lead at the top of the Premier League to three points. Rayan Cherki gave City the lead before Kai Havertz closed Gianluigi Donnarumma down brilliantly to force a mistake as his clearance rebounded off the striker into the back of the net.
Despite having the better chances in the second half, hitting the woodwork twice, City claimed the win with an Erling Haaland goal in the 65th minute.

It's O'Reilly who's crept in behind. There's Haaland.
And on the follow-up, it was Ryan Scherke,
whose shot was deflected onto the frame of the goal,
and Arsenal can breathe a sigh of relief again.
Well seen by Hinkapier.
Bounced favourably here for Ryan Scherke,
who skips away from the challenges and picks out the corner.
15 minutes on the clock.
It is Manchester City 1, Arsenal 0.
Oh, my goodness me.
Arsenal are back level and Kai Havertz.
Less than 60 seconds after going a goal behind,
the Gunners are able to cancel out City's opening goal.
Lofted in towards that near post by Bernardo Silva.
There's Kusunov and Haaland.
Denied by the post.
Look at the space here for Varese over on that far side.
It's Martin Oerdigaard and now Kai Havertz.
And Oerdigaard again, and O'Reilly can clear on the line.
A big save by Donnarumma.
It's a turning shooting.
Striking the frame of the goal.
Here's Dockin.
O'Reilly pokes in forward.
There's Haaland, and for the fourth game in a row,
Erling Haaland scores in the Premier League against Arsenal.
Free kick, clipped in by Oerdigaard.
There is Gabriel off the post again.
Tossards find in Havertz.
Just couldn't keep the header down.
