I spent most of the quarantine working on my little drawing projects
and it helped me to not only work on my drawing abilities, but also
and more importantly to find my calm and new perspectives and new meanings of my
work. That's something I haven't realized so
strongly before. I guess it just takes some time to get
to a certain point in progress. I spent more than 2000 hours drawing
last year approximately. I wish it would be more, but I draw as
much as I can. Of course, it does not include all parts of the process, it's an
observation and that's a huge part of it.
Drawing has become a desire, but also my job.
I have a great urge to create, but I also try to find some balance between
working and taking breaks in order to take a
better control and better care of my physical and mental
health. In 2020 I spent a lot of time in
solitude, thinking about my work and the meaning,
some kind of impact I wanted to have. Even though we were isolated at our
homes, we were still able to create new connections,
at least in here. And that's why I'm grateful for the internet at this moment.
I love finding that it's all about us, what attitude we have regarding a
certain aspect being considered as good or bad.
Thank you for your support, for being part of this community.
You have always kind words to say and I truly appreciate it.
So I wish you all the best in the new year.
Let this year be the year of learning, exploring our
limitations and discovering our true potential.
So I hope you'll enjoy this little compilation of my
drawings I worked on last year.
