You've got a major meeting coming up next month with President Xi.
I want to get your take on China and how this shift in oil, particularly because of Iran,
particularly because of Venezuela and what you've done, even your comments on Cuba.
How does that change the dynamic of this meeting with President Xi?
I don't think it does.
I mean, he's somebody that needs oil.
We don't.
He's somebody I get along with very well.
Just wrote me a beautiful letter.
He wrote you a letter?
Yeah, he did.
And he responded to a letter that I wrote because I had heard that China is giving weapons
to — I mean, you're seeing it all over the place, to Iran, that China is giving weapons.
Did he say he's giving them?
Yeah, and I wrote him a letter asking him not to do that, and he wrote me a letter saying
that essentially he's not doing that.
OK.
Well, we just heard from the FBI recently that there was a major cyberattack attributed
to China.
What response is under consideration for that cyberattack?
We do it to them.
They do it to us.
We do it to them.
You know?
Well, when was the last time we did a cyberattack in China?
Well, I don't know.
I'm not going to tell you that.
But we do them.
They do us.
It's been like that for a long time.
So it's not going to be addressed?
I don't know how to address things, but, you know, it is what it is.
Look, China's China.
They're never easy, but we're doing great with China.
I'm the toughest person in China anywhere in the world.
I put on 100 percent tariff on Chinese cars.
We don't have a Chinese car in the whole country.
And if you look at Europe, they're being inundated with Chinese cars and it's killing their car
companies.
OK.
There's nobody tougher than me.
Don't forget, I put a 20 percent tariff on them for what they've done with fentanyl.
I put a penalty.
I call it a penalty.
I put a 45 percent tariff.
I had 145 percent tariff where they literally were going to go out of business.
Look, there's never been anybody tougher in China than me.
But I also have a good relationship with President Xi.
And that's a good thing.
Remember this.
Tick tock.
Billions and billions of dollars.
Not the biggest thing in terms of China.
Bigger is the other things I do.
But everybody said they will never approve the deal.
It's a hard no.
President Xi said it's a hard no.
We will never do it.
Then American business people got together, paid billions of dollars, and I called up
President Xi.
I said, you know, it would be a good thing if you did it.
And he did it.
