Hey, I'm Taylor Swift, and I wanted to say congratulations, Glamour, on your 75th birthday.
My favorite birthday yet has been my 22nd birthday. It was a party in Nashville. I had
all my Nashville friends just come over, and my apartment is very weird. There are all kinds of
balconies and places you can climb up. It was just crazy. It was wild. Everybody was dancing.
The music was so loud. We got, like, noise complaints. It was a real party, and I ended
up writing a song called 22 about how much fun that time in my life was. I think the fashion
trend that will never go out of style and gets chicer every year is the look. It's sort of an
Audrey Hepburn look with black cigarette pants, black flats, black turtleneck. I don't think
anyone's ever going to walk into a party wearing that, and people are going to go,
oh my god, that is so stupid. I hope it never goes out of style because I'm always going to wear it.
I think a timeless beauty tip that once was given to me, and it's never failed, has been
focus on whether you're going to highlight your lips or your eyes. Either a red lip and a simple
eye or a smoky eye and sort of a pale lip, but don't try to do both or else you'll look like
you're, you know, trying to wear too much makeup. If I could go back and give my younger self
any advice, I wouldn't because I've had such incredible adventures. I really, I would make
the mistakes I've made over and over again. The lessons you learn turn you into who you're going
to be, and I don't have any regrets that I'd actually take back. I'm friends with a lot of
girls who are, like, 16 or 17 or 18, and I do definitely give them the advice that I wish I
would have had when I was younger because I wouldn't change the course of my life,
but if there are some little things I can help them avoid here and there, I definitely do.
