Handcrafting Makeup From Gemstones For My Beautiful Wife.

Natural beauty adorns the spring mountains. "Making Royal Makeup from Precious"
Gemstones and Metals like Gold using a 1000 year old
traditional recipe. Long before the advent of modern
cosmetics, ancient artisans sourced beauty from the
very earth beneath their feet. They mastered the delicate
art of extracting vibrant, enduring pigments from raw
minerals, blending them with natural binding agents and
botanical oils to create exquisite cosmetics that graced
the faces of refined ladies. In today's video, I am
recreating this intricate, time-honored craft to make a
traditional mineral eyebrow pigment block (Dai/黛). By
meticulously crushing raw malachite and azurite, refining
them through water levigation, and blending the vibrant
powders with yellow-wine-infused cowhide glue and
nourishing camellia oil, the mixture is repeatedly beaten
until perfectly smooth. Adorned with gold leaf, pressed
into delicate molds, and left to dry in the shade before
absorbing the sweet scent of golden-rimmed roses for
half a month, this exquisite cosmetic block is a true
testament to the elegance and wisdom of ancient
Eastern beauty rituals.
