Fort 137 Residence is a contemporary home designed by Daniel Joseph Chenin for a family seeking an active lifestyle and connection with nature in the Las Vegas desert. The house blends modern aesthetics with the rugged landscape, featuring a 28-foot-tall entry rotunda inspired by historical desert forts, transitioning visitors from the desert heat to the cooler interior. The home includes expansive living spaces with large glass walls offering panoramic views, a shaded courtyard with a massive excavated boulder, and a rooftop lounge with fire pit. Built sustainably, it incorporates solar panels, passive cooling, and locally-sourced materials, making it an environmentally conscious and beautifully integrated desert retreat.
