This is Part 2 of my top 8 Son Ye Jin movies to date!
Hi. This is your Asian Drama Consultant and I'm back to share with you the second part
of Son Ye Jin's best movies. Having caught the Son Ye Jin fever that rewatching all her K-dramas
is not enough anymore, I watched 18 of her movies and I came up with my top 8 Son Ye Jin movies to
date, which I've arranged according to my preference in plot, storyline, her role,
cinematography, and her acting quality. All of these movies earned her at least one Best Actress
Award, and although my top one movie earned her six Best Actress Awards, it was my choice for the
number one spot because of the intensity of the plot that brought out her acting talent and the
twist and turns of the smart storyline, but I chose my top two movie based on its Best Screenplay
Award making the film very touching even without the subtitles and very memorable because of the
script. This is a two-part video so make sure that you've seen the first part with the top

what to watch that are worthy of your time. On my number four spot is the classic 2003,
wherein Son Ye Jin plays two roles, the mother from the past and the daughter in the present.
Son Ye Jin won her two new Best Actress, Popular Star and Best Couple awards between the role of
mother in the past and Cho Seung Woo, her lover. The story unfolds as the daughter, also played by
Son Ye Jin, happens to see a box of letters and a diary that belonged to her mother and starts
reading. One summer day in the country, Son Ye Jin's character as the mother in the past meets
Cho Seung Woo who also happens to be studying in Seoul and is only in the country for a vacation.
The next day they meet again for an adventure trip across the river where they grew very close
and started to like each other. That night, as they returned home, she gave Cho Seung Woo her
necklace and much to the disappointment of her grandfather who showed distaste as they talked.
She was immediately betrothed to the son of an equally prominent family who happens to be
Cho Seung Woo's best friend. The best friend actually asks Cho Seung Woo to write Son Ye Jin,
as the mother in the past, love letters for him when they meet again after the summer break.
However, when the best friend realizes that they are in love with each other,
he allows them to exchange letters under his name, which angered his father and drove him
to attempt suicide. Cho Seung Woo, guilt-stricken for what happened to his best friend, joined the
army and left. Meanwhile, Son Ye Jin, as the daughter in the present, is experiencing the
same fake letter writing as her roommate asks her to send email love letters to Jo In Sung for her.
Her roommate aggressively goes after Jo In Sung that one day,
they were both invited to go out with him where he gives them each a gift.
She chose a box that contained a familiar love note but was soon exchanged by her roommate.
Feeling enamored and confused, she starts thinking about Jo In Sung romantically,
until one rainy day. The mother wrote in her diary about a day that she and her three-year-old
daughter were in the country and playing near the river when she found out about Cho Seung Woo's
death. She was told that he only married after she married his best friend and his last wishes
were to have his ashes spread in the river and to give the box of letters to her, while telling her
further that he had a hard life and that he left a son. In number 3 is April Snow 2005 where Son
Ye Jin co-starred with none other than Mr. Winter Sonata himself, Bi Yong Joon. Frustrated at the
discovery of their spouse's extramarital affair, they find solace and a deepened understanding in
each other as they are forced to take care of their spouses in the same hospital who are both
in a coma from a terrible car accident. Both staying close to the hospital, they begin to
spend more time together until. And as they grew closer and more intimate, it became harder for
them to avoid each other. But as their situations change, will the world allow them to follow their
hearts? As Son Ye Jin asks what will become of them. Will they really have a chance?

Fresh from being stood up by a married man who agreed to elope with her, Son Ye Jin meets
Jung Woo Sung for the first time after she absentmindedly leaves her soda in the convenience
store. Without realizing it, she instantly gets attracted to the same man with the utility belt
who she sees for the second time at her dad's construction site. She again meets him at her
unfinished workspace showing his rough but charming attitude, as he snatches her soda
and drinks it in front of her the way she had snatched his soda earlier. After coming to her
rescue, she irreversibly falls in love with this bad boy and gets totally swept off her feet in
the weirdest ride home ever. Helplessly drawn to him, she seeks him out the next day and
from opposite backgrounds, Son Ye Jin becomes his ray of happiness and turns him into an
accomplished architect while enjoying a happy married life. Their marriage is put to the test
as she falters and realizes that she brings him agony though she only wants him to be happy.
She says goodbye in a letter, leaving Jung Woo Sung in pain until he gets back to that moment
and she finally hears him say I love you for the first time. And on my number 1 spot is The Truth
Winning 2 Best Film, 2 Best Screenplay, Audience and Best Director awards on top of Son Ye Jin's
6 Best Actress awards, this movie is a must-see not only for her fans but for all movie-savvy
viewers out there. Set in the middle of the chaos of an ongoing political campaign is Son Ye Jin's
family, particularly her high school daughter and her affluent and influential husband running for
top congressional post. Playing the role of an all-knowing mother, she totally breaks down as
she realizes that she doesn't know anything about her daughter. As a result, she can even start to
ask about her whereabouts when she doesn't come home one night. With the election day coming closer,
more and more dirty tactics are revealed between rival parties that Son Ye Jin becomes completely
convinced that her daughter's disappearance is connected to the campaign and that her husband's
rival is responsible. Following this suspicion, her husband turned it into a political strategy
that put him in the top rank for the congressional seat, which results in their marriage fallout as
she accuses her husband of not doing anything to find their daughter. In her quest to find her
daughter, you will see here Son Ye Jin's finest acting. She changes from a weak, confused and
worried mom, to an intense character out for the truth and driven to the edge, while somehow
finding balance in maintaining her character as a mother and showing her cunning and brutal side as
well. Her transformation here is highly acclaimed that it leaves me with the question if I could do
the same thing if I were in the same situation, because her bold and headstrong resolve ultimately
leads her to the truth, though with a heavy price. And that's it for my top 8 Son Ye Jin movies.
