Blaster, look! This isn't good. Loggers have started to cut down all the trees.
I know, that means there are animals who need to find a new home. You think we can
help them? All right, grab your blaster. Here we go.
Hey, a group of animals that used to call this forest home are now stranded on
this tree stump. Hey everybody, we're gonna help you. What do we have first?
Oh look, it's a chicken. Chickens are awesome and they really help us by producing eggs,
but only the female chickens produce eggs. Do you know what we call female chickens?
That's right, we call them hens. This is a hen. But look at this next one, Blaster.
I've never seen a chicken like this. It's super fluffy, so fluffy that its feathers cover its
eyes. Blaster, what kind of chicken is this? A silky chicken, cool. These might be my new
favorite chickens. Oh, look at the little puppy. Do you have pets at home? Maybe you have a dog.
This dog is called a corgi and it has a long body and these tiny stubby feet. Oh, what a great dog.
And hey, a little baby pig. Quick question, do you know what a baby pig is called? It's
called a piglet. Hey little piglet, don't worry, we'll get you to your new home in just a little
bit. And look at this, another baby. Do you know what type of baby animal this is? It's a baby goat
and baby goats are called one of the coolest names. Baby goats are called kids. Hey kid,
nice. And finally, we have the llama. And I like llamas because you spell llamas with two L's.
Llamas is spelled L-L-A-M-A. That's right, L-L-A-M-A. Nice. All right, don't worry everybody,
we're going to get you to your new home fast. But first, we need to learn a little bit more about
one of you. I say we learn about the silky chicken. Let's go check them out in their
natural habitat. Here we go. Wow, look at this chicken. It's so fluffy. It looks like it's
wearing pajamas. This is called a silky chicken. Silkies are different from most chickens because
their feathers feel more like fur, so soft. And here's a fun surprise. Silkies don't have four
toes like other chickens. They have five. Let's count them together. One, two, three, four, five.
Good job. Silkies are also really calm and friendly. Some even like to sit in people's
laps just like a kitty cat. And even though they're small, they are brave and take very good
care of their chicks. So remember, just like the silky chicken with its fluffy feathers and extra
toe, you're special in your own way too. We got our silky chicken card. We learned a lot about
silky chickens. Now everybody, it's time for you to get home safe. Here we go. Awesome. But Blaster,
there are more animals that need our help. Let's keep going. Here we go. Hey Blaster,
we found more animals in need of rescue. First up, it's a white wolf, also known as the arctic wolf,
also known as the polar wolf. And as you can imagine, they live in really cold climates where
it snows all the time, all year long, even during summertime. So this is not a place for a white
wolf. Hey, look in the middle. It's a mule. Let's spell mule. M-U-L-E. Again. M-U-L-E. One more. M-U-L-E.
Mule. Mules are hard workers. Even when things get tough for a mule, I bet they tell themselves,
I can do this. I can do this. And you know what, mule? You can do it. Hey Blaster, is this a buffalo
or is it a bison? They're so similar. I think we need to dig a little deeper. Here we go.
Buffalo, bison. Wow, they look so similar. But Blaster, this is a bison. Bison are the biggest
animals that live on land in North America. They can weigh as much as a small car. Whoa.
Now some people call them buffalo, but guess what? They're not the same.
Buffalo live far away in places like Africa and Asia. And bison live in North America with
big humps on their backs and beards under their chins. That's how you can tell them apart. Bison
also have super strong shoulders that help them plow through snow to find food during winter. And
even though they look calm, bison can run really fast, faster than most people can. So remember,
this amazing animal isn't a buffalo. It's a bison, the strong and speedy giant of the plains.
All right. Well, this bison, mule, M-U-L-E, and wolf need to all head back to their home.
Here we go. Nice. Now that all the animals are safe, there's still one more thing to do.
We need to plant some seeds to regrow this forest. Will you help us? All right. Here we go.
All right, Blaster. We need some tree seeds. Here we go. Awesome. It's amazing that something so
small will turn into something so big and so beautiful. Now we just need to spread them around.
Let's go. One over here. One over here. Wow. Check out these plants. They're already growing back.
Nature is so resilient. I bet when things get tough for nature, nature just says,
I can do this. I can do this. Let's wish the rest of these seeds good luck, Blaster. Here we go.
Awesome. Now that this forest will regrow, it's time to go meet some new animals. Here we go.
Oh, Blaster. We're on the ocean shore, and look, three penguins. But I thought penguins lived in
cold climates, Blaster. That's right. Oh, don't fall, little penguin. These rocks are slippery.
Out of all the species of penguins, only two are found in cold climates. That means most penguins
live in tropical warm climates. Blaster, let's go learn more about these tropical penguins.
Here we go. Look who's waddling through the sunshine. It's a Galapagos penguin.
These little penguins live in the tropics right next to the equator where it can get really hot.
They're smaller than most penguins, about as long as a ruler, and they weigh only about two
kilograms. When the sun is blazing, they pant like puppies, stretching out their flippers and
hide in shady caves to stay cool. Those are their super smart tricks for hot weather.
These penguins are special. They're the only penguins that live north of the equator,
right there in the Galapagos Islands. They eat tiny fish, swim super fast close to shore,
and build their nests in rocky cracks and crevices. Perfect hide-and-seek homes. Every penguin finds
one penguin friend forever. They stick together as partners, just like you and your best friend.
Even though they're tough little survivors, they're endangered, which means they need our
help to stay safe. So remember, this tropical penguin isn't chilly, it's cool in the heat.
Wow, those penguins were cool, but these are emperor penguins, and they belong in cold climates.
So little emperor penguins, we're going to send you back. Here we go. Now they're back home where
they belong, but there's one more really big animal that I want you to meet. Here we go.
Whoa, Blaster, in the middle of the ocean? This is perfect, but I don't see the big amazing fish
that I wanted you to see. Hello, fish, where are you? Hey, here he comes. It's a big blue shark.
You know how I know it's a blue shark? You're pretty smart, because it's blue. And one cool
thing about blue sharks is that they're dark on top and light on the bottom. So when other fish
are swimming on top, they won't be able to see them, because the darkness will blend in with
the darkness of the ocean floor. And when they're swimming below him, they won't be able to see
him either, because the light side will blend in with the lightness of the sun.
They're amazing animals. Let's go learn more about blue sharks. Here we go. Blue sharks are
super travelers. They swim across whole oceans. That's like swimming from one side of the world
to the other. Whoa. They love to eat squid and fish, and they have long skinny bodies that help
them glide through the water like an underwater rocket. But don't worry, blue sharks usually stay
far away from people. They're happiest cruising in the deep, deep sea solo.
I'm so glad we got to explore all these animals together today. We'll see you on our next
adventure. Bye-bye. Come on, blue shark. Let's go.
