Taylor Swift Wins International Female Brit Award | Brit Awards 2015

And the winner is... You need to hold that. Oh, I bet I'll... Someone I'm so proud to call my friend, Taylor Swift. Brilliant Taylor Swift. Unbelievably, this is her first ever Brit Award. Her fourth album, 1989, went to number one. She described the sound of it as sort of an almost musical reverb in that it's my first pop album. Oh my God, wow. I've been to England and playing shows for eight years and this is my first Brit Award. I'm so happy. So I want to thank Virgin EMI and Universal for sticking with me for eight years till I got my first Brit Award. And honestly, I know I wouldn't be up here if it wasn't for one of my best friends who took me to pubs and taught me how to make a good cup of tea and taught me everything I know about the UK. I just want to say I love you, Ed Sheeran, wherever you are. Where is he? Well, and I also want to thank my other British friends, Cara and Ellie and Sam. I'm very lucky to have them in my life. I'm very lucky to have the British fans who have changed my life. I love you. First Brit Award, thank you so much.
