As a world traveler who has visited over 70 countries, there are some that have truly stolen my heart. India is one of them. After first visiting the country for the first time in January and February of 2018, I had the pleasure of going back in November of 2018, this time with my good buddy Sam from Sam and Audrey. Together we crisscrossed the country over roughly three weeks, visiting seven cities and having dozens of incredible experiences I will never forget.

One thing that people may not know about India is that at least 780 languages are spoken in the country, but once different dialects are figured in, that number balloons to over 1,600. The official count of 780 makes India the country with the second-highest number of languages in the world, behind Papua New Guinea. When I visited the fourth city of my trip, Bengaluru, I asked my local friend, Anashwara, to give me a quick lesson in Kannada, the official language of the state of Karnataka.
